Abstract:
The invention relates to a wind deflector for a roof opening of a vehicle, which can be closed an partially opened by means of a displaceable roof part, comprising a bow-like base element which can be arranged in a roof opening edge area of the motor vehicle, a bow-like deployment element which is arranged over said base element and which is arranged in such a manner that it can pivot in relation to the base element, a deflector element which can be clamped between the base element and the deployment element, and at least one sealing element which is secured to the deployment element for reducing vehicle noises. The deflector element is secured directly to the sealing element. The invention also relates to a method for producing said type of wind deflector.
Abstract:
A system for variable engine compartment ventilation in a slim and compact unit with components used in non-related industries. The system can have at least one bank of movable louvers rotatably mounted within a louver frame for guiding a flow of air into a vehicle engine compartment; a motor to rotate the louvers with a motor gear formed on an output shaft rotatably connected in parallel to at least one helix cable by a helix cable drive gear and a louver pinion gear integral with each louver engaging the helix cable along its length; and a control unit for operating the assembly of movable louvers in response to an output signal from a vehicle communication bus. The output signal of the vehicle communication bus can be in response to input from an engine coolant temperature sensor or a vehicle speed sensor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a connector device for a retainer device (2) on a cover of an openable vehicle roof on an operating mechanism, in particular, on an operating lever (3) with a bearing pin (4), comprising a mid axis (104), about which the operating lever (3) is mounted to pivot relative to the cover, characterised in that the bearing pin (4) is mounted to rotate relative to the operating lever (3) and has a housing device (10, 13) for the retainer device (2) in a region facing the a vehicle inner side (111), wherein the retainer device (2) is connected with fixing means (22) to the housing device (10, 13) in an axially and rotationally fixed manner relative to the bearing pin (4).
Abstract:
A burner (10) for a heater, especially for use in motor vehicles, with a burner nozzle (12) for supplying of fuel and primary air, a combustion chamber (22), and a heat shield (24) between the burner nozzle and the combustion chamber, the heat shield having openings (26) for supplying secondary air to the combustion chamber. The openings (26) are equipped with air guide elements (28, 30).
Abstract:
A vehicle roof with a roof opening system which has a roof frame surrounding an openable and closable roof opening, a wind deflector at a front edge region of the roof opening which can be pivoted out of a lowered position in a raising direction, and a positioning device which has a flexible element which is attached at a first end to the wind deflector and after being deflected by a deflection element is dynamically connected to a drive member which acts in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle so that the second end of the flexible element undergoes an offset parallel to the lengthwise axis of the vehicle when the drive member is actuated. When the flexible element is actuated, a retaining force directed at a right angle to the plane of the roof opening acts on the wind deflector to affect its positioning.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a high temperature fuel cell stack (10) retained by a temporary retaining device.According to the invention it is contemplated that the temporary retaining device (12-22) consists of a plastic material burning at a temperature which is lower than the operating temperature of the high temperature fuel cell stack (10).The invention also relates to a method for temporarily retaining a high temperature fuel cell stack (10) and a method for removing a temporary retaining device (12-22) of a high temperature fuel cell stack (10). The invention further relates to the use of per se known plastic elements (12-22) as a temporary retaining device for a high temperature fuel cell stack (10).
Abstract:
A folding top for a convertible is proposed, comprising a folding-top cloth (16) and a folding-top linkage (14) which is provided on both sides with a main link (28) which is mounted on a main bearing (26) and to which a frame part (38), which extends substantially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in the closed position of the top, and an intermediate link (44) are coupled. A front, rigid folding-top element (22) is connected via a first folding-top element link (58) to the intermediate link (44) and via a second folding-top element link (60) to the frame part (38). According to the invention, means are provided on the folding-top linkage (14), said means bringing about a continuous slowing-down of the front, rigid folding-top element (22) during the sequence of movement of the top from a storage position to the closed position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the displacement process of a hood system. According to the invention the following steps are provided: provision of a first number of position sensors (20-22,25,26) to determine the actual position of the hood system, the first number of position sensors being greater than a second number of position sensors which are required as a minimum for determining the position of the hood system, determination of a third number of functioning position sensors, from the first number of position sensors, comparison of the first number with the third number and movement of the hood system into a defined position so long as the third number is less than the first number.
Abstract:
A pane arrangement for closing an opening in the outer shell of the motor vehicle, has a closed position tightly closing the opening, and an open position partially clearing the opening. A flexible pane is connected without hinges to the vehicle to seal the opening. At least a first partial region of the pane is permanently connected to the outer shell of the vehicle, and at least a second partial region of the pane can be bent out of the closed position by deformation of the pane. Similarly, a body element of a motor vehicle with contains a flexible plate which is connected to the vehicle without hinges, at least a first partial region of the plate being permanently connected to the outer vehicle shell, and at least a second partial region of the plate being able to be bent away from the outer vehicle shell.
