    Abstract: An umbrella has a canopy, a main shaft and a plurality of ribs pivotally attached to the main shaft, each rib being of adjustable length and including a pair of outer rib elements, wherein the outer rib elements are flexible and normally adopt a straight configuration aligned with the main shaft in a closed position of the umbrella, and in an open position of the umbrella, flex so that outer ends of the outer rib elements extend generally circumferentially with respect to the canopy. The umbrella can have ribs that would normally be of one piece, in which case accommodation is made for an effective change in the radius of the ribs as the outer rib elements flex. The umbrella may be a folding umbrella with two part ribs. The outer ribs can have a non-uniform cross-section and may taper.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to systems, methods and apparatus for securing documents. The system comprises a server having a processor and a data storage device for storing documents, at least one document provider connected to the server, the at least one document provider operable to provide user documents to the server for storage in the data storage device, the user documents containing at least one object of security concern, and at least one document consumer connected to the server, the at least one document consumer operable to receive the user documents containing the at least one object of security concern from the server. The processor in the server is operable to determine whether to provide the at least one object of security concern to the at least one document consumer based on at least one security setting, and based on the decision either provide the documents with the at least one object of security concern or provide a replacement documents without the security of concern and an indication on each replacement document that that the at least one object of security concern has been excluded.

    Abstract: A method and system for providing an electronic form are described. The method and system include identifying a visible portion of the electronic form. The electronic form can include a control component at a component location of the electronic form that is operable to receive an input from a user. The method and system can then determine an accessibility state of the control component based on the component location and at least one of a display property of the display and the visible portion. The accessibility state can be a convenient state when the component location is suitable for the display but is in an inconvenient state when the component location is not suitable for the display. When it is determined that the accessibility state is the inconvenient state, the method and system involves displaying a transient control component, or a version of the control component, on the display.

    Abstract: A system and method of managing an on-demand electrolytic reactor for supplying hydrogen and oxygen gas to an internal combustion engine. The system minimizes reactor's power consumption and parasitic energy loss generally associated with perpetual reactors. The system comprises a plurality of sensors coupled to the reactor measuring a plurality of reactor parameters, an electronic control unit coupled to the plurality of sensors and the engine, and a reactor control board coupled to the reactor and the electronic control unit.     Abstract: The disclosure provides methods and kits involving site-specific endonuclease guided rolling circle amplification (RCA). Nucleic acid substrates, optionally generated by hybridizing a guidance primer to a single stranded nucleic acid, are cleaved with a site-specific endonuclease. In the presence of the target site, endonuclease cleavage of the substrate generates a nucleic acid having a free 3′-hydroxyl end, which is allowed to hybridize to covalently closed circular DNA probe (“take-off probe”), and initiate a rolling circle amplification (RCA) reaction. The methods and kits may be used to detect the presence of a target nucleic acid sequence, including detection of single nucleotide polymorphisms, and may be used to assess methylation status of a desired sequence, assess zygosity and/or ploidy status. The methods and kits may also be used to detect nucleic acids associated or indicative of medical conditions or pathogenic organisms.
