Abstract: A spray system for mixing multi-part liquids and spraying a mixed liquid product onto a spray target includes first and second spray nozzles. Abstract: A spray nozzle is disclosed that includes a nozzle body having a first portion with a cylindrical configuration and a second portion including a dome-shaped end wall. The first and second portions of the nozzle body define an internal fluid passage having a downstream end defined by the dome-shaped end wall. A flow control element is arranged at an inlet end of the internal fluid passage. The flow control element includes a pre-orifice through which fluid can enter the internal fluid passage of the nozzle body. First and second discharge orifices are provided in the dome-shaped end wall with each of the first and second discharge orifices being arranged on a respective one of opposing sides of an apex of the dome-shaped end wall. The first and second discharge orifices are configured to produce a fan-shaped fluid discharge pattern with each discharge orifice having an elongated slit-like configuration.

Abstract: A system and method are described for controlled leveling of a multi-wing spray boom assembly. A multi-loop cascading controller arrangement includes a main controller that renders actuation control commands to an actuator controller for causing positioning of actuators of the multi-wing boom assembly to reduce a determined current position error of the assembly in relation to a determined contour. The main controller operates, according to a main controller repetition cycle period within which an actuation command is rendered for implementation by the actuator controller, to generate positioning commands to be carried out by the actuator controller. The actuator controller executes an actuator controller loop, independently of the main controller and in accordance with an actuator controller repetition cycle period having a duration that is independent of the main controller repetition cycle period, to generate control signals for the actuators of the multi-wing boom assembly.

Abstract: An agricultural sprayer having a liquid supply conduit for directing selectively controllable pressurized liquid to a plurality of spray nozzle assemblies. Each nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body having a respective orifice member having an inwardly tapered conical section communicating with a smaller diameter discharge orifice. Each respective orifice member is made of a resilient and pressure responsive deformable material such that upon an increase in the pressure of the liquid supply said liquid flow passage and discharge orifice thereof can be altered to increase the rate through said orifice member and nozzle body by at least 75 percent and upon interruption of the supply of pressurized liquid to the orifice member the orifice member liquid flow passage and discharge orifice return to their original shape.

Abstract: A method and system are described for controlled supplemental steering, by actuating a supplemental steering element, of a trailing implement connectable via a hitch to a pulling source, and wherein the trailing implement includes a pair of parallel wheels, a controller, a position sensing system that generates a hitch position history comprising a stored set of recent positions of the hitch point, and a steering angle actuator. The method carried out by the system includes maintaining a history of positions of the hitch, determining a target steering angle for the supplemental steering element, and actuating the steering angle actuator in accordance with the target steering angle. During the maintaining the history of positions of the hitch, the history of positions of the hitch is updated by performing a rotation operation and a translation operation on a set of coordinates of the history corresponding to previous hitch positions.
