Abstract:
Computationally implemented methods and systems include registering one or more first augmentations that were shown to a user through a first augmented view of a first actual scene, the one or more first augmentations having been shown at least at end of a segment of time, detecting, following the showing of the one or more first augmentations up to the end of the segment of time, one or more user behaviors of the user that when detected as occurring infers user's interest in seeing the one or more first augmentations; and displaying, in response at least in part to said detecting, one or more second augmentations through a second augmented view of the first actual scene or of a second actual scene, the one or more second augmentations to be displayed being based, at least in part, on the registering of the one or more first augmentations. In addition to the foregoing, other aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text.
Abstract:
Computationally implemented methods and systems include obtaining visual data of an actual view of a scene from a real environment, determining whether activity-inferring data that infers at least initial occurrence of one or more user activities associated with the scene from the real environment have at least been acquired, and presenting, in response at least in part to determining that the activity-inferring data have at least been acquired, an augmented view of the scene from the real environment, the augmented view including one or more augmentations that have been included into the augmented view based, at least in part, on the activity-inferring data. In addition to the foregoing, other aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text.
Abstract:
An energy storage apparatus for storing energy transmitted by a power transmission line includes an elastically deformable component and an actuator-generator. The actuator-generator is coupled to the elastically deformable component such that electrical actuation of the actuator-generator generates tension in the elastically deformable component. The actuator-generator is further coupled to the elastically deformable component such that mechanical actuation of the actuator-generator via a release of tension in the elastically deformable component causes a generation of electrical energy by the actuator-generator.
Abstract:
Prosthetic artificial joints are described, including hip, knee and shoulder joints. In some embodiments, an artificial joint prosthesis includes: a bone-facing surface of a artificial joint prosthesis, the bone-facing surface configured to face a bone-prosthesis interface in vivo; a first component of the artificial joint prosthesis including a contact surface of the artificial joint prosthesis, the first component fabricated from at least one polymer and a plurality of magnetic particles; and a second component of the artificial joint prosthesis including at least one magnet configured to create a magnetic field within the artificial joint, the at least one magnet positioned to form a magnetic field directed to influence a location of debris including the magnetic particles in the joint to a position distinct from the bone-prosthesis interface in vivo.
Abstract:
Prosthetic artificial joints are described, including hip, knee and shoulder joints. In some embodiments, an artificial joint prosthesis includes: a bone-facing surface of a artificial joint prosthesis, the bone-facing surface configured to face a bone-prosthesis interface in vivo; a non-contact surface of the artificial joint prosthesis, the non-contact surface adjacent to the bone-facing surface of the artificial joint prosthesis; at least one fluid deflection structure positioned adjacent to the non-contact surface, the fluid deflection structure positioned to deflect synovial fluid away from the bone-prosthesis interface in vivo; a mechanism attached to the fluid deflection structure, the mechanism operable to move the fluid deflection structure to direct synovial fluid away from the bone-prosthesis interface in vivo; and at least one particle retaining structure positioned to contact the directed flow of synovial fluid and configured to retain non-physiological particles present within the synovial fluid.

Abstract:
A system for assaying gold in a rock formation includes a transmitter and an acoustic sensor. The transmitter is configured to transmit a microwave pulse into the rock formation. The acoustic sensor is coupled to the rock formation and is configured to detect an acoustic wave emitted from the rock formation in response to receipt by the rock formation of the microwave pulse.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for viewing dynamically customized audio-visual content are described. In some implementations, a process may include providing at least one selection signal indicative of a viewer preference, receiving a dynamically customized audio-visual content including an audio-visual core portion having at least one revised content portion customized in accordance with the at least one selection signal, displaying the dynamically-customized audio-visual content; and providing a consideration for the dynamically-customized audio-visual content.
Abstract:
A system for detecting intruding viewers of a display and responding to an intrusion by editing content. The system includes an electronic media display, a sensor, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to obtain information from the sensor, determine a visibility envelope of the electronic media display device, analyze the information from the sensor to determine a presence of an intruder within the visibility envelope, distinguish the intruder from an authorized user, and edit any displayed content.
