Abstract:
Disclosed are: a method for providing continuity of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) service, and a device supporting the same. The method may include: entering a radio resource control (RRC) connected state with respect to a first cell; receiving MBMS-related system information from the first cell; determining whether a mobility condition for continuity of an MBMS service is satisfied based on the received system information; and entering an RRC idle state when it is determined that the mobility condition is satisfied, and the UE does not supports a handover operation.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a random access procedure at a cell on an unlicensed carrier in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) transmits a random access preamble, and receives a random access response including an index of a second cell. A first cell is a first serving cell on a licensed carrier, and the second cell is a second serving cell on the unlicensed carrier.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a report message in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a configuration of measurement, i.e. minimization of drive tests (MDT) configuration, via system information or broadcast/multicast control channel, i.e. multicast control channel (MCCH). If the UE detects a problem for reception of a broadcast/multicast service, the UE immediately transmits a report message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for configuring measurements in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a reference signal (RS) indicator from a network, and evaluates whether a measurement report triggering event is satisfied by only using a measurement result based on a RS indicated by the RS indicator. The RS indicator may indicate which RS is used for reporting the measurement result. The RS indicator may indicate a cell-specific reference signal (CRS) or a discovery reference signal (DRS).
Abstract:
Provided are a method for declaring radio link failure (RLF), performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, and a terminal using the method. The method is characterized by: determining whether an event for a measurement report is satisfied; starting a timer only for an initial measurement report, when the event has been satisfied; and declaring the radio link failure when the timer has expired.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for maintaining a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) minimization of drive test (MDT) configuration in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a first MBMS-MDT configuration via first system information, and receives second system information. The second system information may or may not include a second MBMS-MDT configuration. If the second system information does not include the second MBMS-MDT configuration or the second system information includes the second MBMS-MDT configuration which is equivalent to the first MBMS-MDT configuration. the UE maintains the first MBMS-MDT configuration.
Abstract:
A network system and a method for controlling the same include where a power consumption amount of an electrical appliance is monitored based on an operation of the electrical appliance. If a demand response (DR) signal for requesting power saving is received, it is determined whether a user is to participate in a DR event for a power-saving operation of the electrical appliance. If it is determined that the user is to participate in the DR event, the power-saving operation of the electrical appliance is performed based on previously mapped information on a discomfort caused by the power-saving operation of the electrical appliance.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of performing measurement. The method may be performed by a user equipment (UE) and comprise: receiving, by the UE, a cell list from a serving cell; if at least one cell in the cell list is detected, performing, by the UE, measurements on a frequency corresponding to the cell list and applying layer 3 filtering for the measurements; and if any cell in the cell list is not detected, not performing the measurements on the frequency corresponding to the cell list.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a terminal operation method related to radio link failure (RLF) in a heterogeneous network, the method comprising: measuring a quality of a serving cell using a reference signal (RS) received from a serving base station; checking whether consecutive out-of-sync indications are received a predetermined number on a physical layer channel; and running a timer related to the RLF when the consecutive out-of-sync indications are received the predetermined number on the physical layer channel, wherein the timer is scaled when a timer scaling condition is met.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for applying assistance information for traffic steering between a 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access network and a non-3GPP access network in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives assistance information for traffic steering through a dedicated signaling from an eNodeB (eNB), and starts a timer upon entering an idle mode. The UE applies the assistance information received through the dedicated signaling until the timer expires. After the timer expires, the UE applies assistance information received through a broadcast signaling.
