Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a handover report message in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) serves a first cell which is a coverage hole compensating cell between a source cell and a second cell, and a user equipment (UE) is moving from the source cell to the second cell through the first cell. The first eNB performs a handover procedure for a user equipment (UE) with a source eNB serving the source cell, receives a radio link failure (RLF) indication message from a second eNB serving the second cell, and transmits a handover report message to the source eNB, the handover report message including an indicator which informs the radio link failure.
Abstract:
A method and corresponding apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system. In the method, a source donor eNodeB (DeNB) transmits a first handover request message for a mobile relay node, to a target DeNB, and transmits a second handover request message for user equipments (UEs) attached to the mobile relay node, to a target eNB. The source DeNB transmits an indication including information on lists of UEs which can be handed over to the target eNB, to the mobile relay node, and the mobile relay node transmits a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message indicating a UE to handover to the target eNB.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a list of bearers in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) of an energy saving cell configures a list of minimum required evolved-UMTS terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) radio access bearers (E-RABs) or required E-RABs, and transmits the configured list of minimum required E-RABs or a required E-RABs to a second eNB of a compensation cell. Upon receiving the configured list of minimum required E-RABs, the second eNB checks whether the compensation cell is able to provide all E-RABs included in the list of minimum required E-RABs or not. Upon receiving the configured list of required E-RABs, the second eNB checks whether the compensation cell is able to provide E-RABs included in the list of required E-RABs or not.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting cell load information in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) of a first system receives cell load information of a cell in a second system, from a radio network controller (RNC) of the second system, and transmits the received cell load information to at least one second eNB of the first system. The first system may be an evolved UMTS terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN), and the second system may be an UTRAN.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a transport network layer (TNL) address discovery procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) transmits at least one of a TNL address of the first eNB and a TNL address of an X2-gateway (GW), and a source eNB identifier (ID). The eNB may further transmit an indication of X2 setup which indicates whether a direct X2 interface between the first eNB and a second eNB or an indirect X2 interface going through the X2-GW is to be set up.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for selecting a cell in a wireless communication system is provided. A pico eNodeB (eNB) or a home eNB (HeNB) receives served cell information for a primary cell (PCell) or a secondary cell (SCell) from an interfering neighbor eNB. The served cell information includes information on the number or portion of user equipments (UEs) served by a corresponding cell and information on a resource usage status of the corresponding cell by the UEs. The pico eNB or the HeNB selects a PCell or a SCell based on the received served cell information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of performing a handover procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. The target eNodeB (eNB) receives a specific establishment cause of a user equipment (UE). The specific establishment cause among a plurality of establishment causes comprises emergency, high priority access, mobile terminated access, mobile oriented signaling, mobile oriented data, and delay tolerant access. The target eNB transmits a handover command message to the UE after receiving the specific establishment cause.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for handling security information between a wireless device and a network for a fast RRC release procedure in a wireless communication system will be provided. A core network node in a wireless communication system receives, from a radio access network (RAN) node, a UE context resume request message including a fast Radio Resource Control (RRC) release indication. The fast RRC release indication informs that the RAN node transmits an RRC release message to a wireless device before the core network node receives the UE context resume request message. A core network node determines to stop computation of new security information for the wireless device based on the fast RRC release indication. A core network node transmits a UE context resume response message to the RAN node.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus supporting UP security for MO-EDT in CU-DU split in a wireless communication system. A central unit (CU) receives, from a distributed unit (DU), a first message including a PDCP Data PDU, wherein the PDCP Data PDU is configured by a wireless device. A CU calculates a HASHDATA from the PDCP Data PDU. A CU verifies a Short MAC-I of the wireless device based on the HASHDATA. A CU transmits, to the DU, a second message to setup a UE context for the wireless device in the DU based on the verification.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for saving energy for a Distributed Unit in a wireless communication system is provided. A CU establishes a connection between a Distributed Unit (DU). The CU receives, from the DU, a first message including deactivation request for the DU. The CU determines whether to permit deactivation of the DU or not. The CU transmits, to the DU, a second message in response to the first message, wherein the second message includes information informing that the deactivation request for the DU is accepted or not based on the determination.
