    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for enabling a network equipment to reduce interference for downlink (DL) transmissions to a first device by determining a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) for uplink (UL) transmissions transmitted by a second device based on feedback from the first device. The first device may determine a subset of possible TPMIs that the second device may use for UL transmissions for full-duplex communications. The first device may indicate the subset to the network equipment. Based on the subset indicated by the first device, the network equipment may determine a pairing of the first device and the second device for full-duplex communications. Additionally, the network equipment may determine a TPMI for the second device to use in UL transmissions and indicate the TPMI to the second device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may receive first control signaling indicating a first codebook configuration associated with a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) antenna port configuration. The device may receive second control signaling indicating a second codebook configuration associated with a second CSI-RS antenna port configuration. The second CSI-RS antenna port configuration includes fewer antenna ports than the first CSI-RS antenna port configuration. The device may perform a channel state information (CSI) measurement based on the first codebook configuration and the second codebook configuration. The device may transmit a CSI report based on the CSI measurement.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a controllable reflective surface (e.g., reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS)) that reflects in multiple directions simultaneously. The controllable reflective surface may include an array of reflecting elements, each reflecting element comprising a radiating component and a phase-shifting component. The array of reflecting elements may be configured to receive control signal sets, where each control signal set configures the array of reflecting elements into a reflecting configuration having a plurality of subsets of the reflecting elements. Here, each subset of the plurality of subsets is configured to reflect radio frequency (RF) signals in a respective direction different from other ones of the first plurality of subsets. The reflecting configuration may define, for example, a block-wise configuration, and interlaced configuration, or a hybrid configuration of the plurality of subsets. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to the generation of channel state reports and precoding a wireless transmission based on frequency division duplex (FDD) reciprocity. A base station (B S) uses at least two precoders to transmit signals to A user equipment (UE). The UE generates a set of channel state reports, in which the UE transmits a first set of channel coefficients using a first timing, a set of port attributes using a second timing, and a second set of channel coefficients using a third timing. The first set of channel coefficients correspond to a first precoded portion of the wireless transmission, and the set of port attributes and the second set of channel coefficients correspond to a second portion of the wireless transmission. The BS modifies at least one of the precoders based on the channel state reports. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for multiple operation modes for communication between a network entity and a user equipment (UE). Different operation modes may have different power consumption at the network entity, and different zones within a coverage area of the network entity may have different operation modes, such as based on a quantity of served UEs within each zone. The network entity may provide UEs with a set of operation modes and information for selection of an operation mode for communications with the network entity based on a geographical area or direction relative to the network entity. The network entity and a UE may communicate using a first operation mode based on a location of the UE within a first zone, and may communicate using a second operation mode based on the UE changing location to be within a second zone.
