    摘要: An image display device capable of controlling in a differentiated manner the signal-brightness characteristics of natural pictures and those of different image sources, such as texts, in the screen frame is to be provided. The image display device is provided with a display area in which are arrayed a plurality of pixels each having a light-emitting device whose brightness is controlled with an image signal output voltage supplied from a signal voltage output circuit. The display area comprises first and second pixel groups of pixels connected to different drive voltage lines. The display area has a display characteristic that the first pixel group and the second pixel group are substantially equal in emission spectrum and differ in light emission brightness relative to the same image signal voltage supplied from the signal voltage output circuit.

    摘要: The present invention provides an image display device in which peripheral circuits including a D/A converter are integrated on a glass substrate while realizing high-precision image display. An image display device of the invention has a display area (100) constructed by a plurality of pixels (1). Serial data and commands input from signal lines (s1 and s2) are input to a buffer circuit (10) via an interface circuit (14) and a D/A converter (11). An output of the buffer circuit is input to the horizontal shift register (13) and sequentially scanned and written to the signal line 2. A vertical shift register 8 switches a pixel switch 4 of a pixel to which the image signal is to be written to the on state via a gate line 3, and the pixel displays the optical characteristics according to the written image signal. A buffer circuit made of single crystal Si and a supply voltage-generating circuit (32) for the buffer circuit are provided on an FPC, and other circuits made of polycrystalline Si are provided on the glass substrate 6.

    摘要: An active matrix type liquid crystal display apparatus includes a display pixel unit including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix; a data signal driving circuit for outputting a gray-scale voltage control signal to the pixels and having a pulse width in accordance with gray-scale information of display data, a scan signal driving circuit for outputting at least one of an active voltage and inactive voltage to the pixels, and a gray-scale voltage selecting circuit for outputting a gray-scale voltage to the pixels. Each of the pixels includes a liquid crystal cell and a switching element having a drain terminal, a common terminal and a gate terminal.     摘要: An image display device has an image display section including an insulating substrate having a matrix of pixels formed on an inner surface thereof and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the insulating substrate and a substrate opposing the insulating substrate. The image display device includes signal lines, driver circuits for driving the matrix of pixels via the signal lines, voltage amplifiers formed by polycrystalline semiconductor TFTs and each coupled between one of the signal lines and a corresponding one of the driver circuits. The signal lines, the driver circuits and the voltage amplifiers are formed on a surface of the insulating substrate on a side thereof facing the liquid crystal layer. A channel, a source and a drain of the polycrystalline semiconductor TFTs each are formed of a polycrystalline semiconductor film. A gate insulating film and a gate electrode are superposed on the polycrystalline semiconductor film in the order named. The polycrystalline semiconductor TFTs are provided with a second region of the channel having a threshold voltage higher than a threshold voltage of a first region of the channel on a drain side thereof.
