Abstract: Compositions may contain an oleaginous base fluid, and a branched amidoamine surfactant prepared from the reaction of an alkylene amine or an oligoalkylene amine and a branched acid having a C4 to C24 primary hydrocarbon chain, and having one or more C1 to C24 branches. Methods may include emplacing a wellbore fluid into a wellbore, wherein the wellbore fluid contains an oleaginous base fluid; and a branched amidoamine surfactant prepared from the reaction of an alkylene amine or an oligoalkylene amine and a branched acid having a C4 to C24 primary hydrocarbon chain, and having one or more C1 to C24 branches.

Abstract: A centrifugal dryer includes a housing and a basket positioned within the housing. The basket defines an opening formed laterally there through. The basket rotates around a central longitudinal axis through the housing. An annulus is formed between the basket and the housing. A cleaning device is positioned within the annulus, and the cleaning device introduces a liquid into the annulus. A scraping device is positioned within the annulus, and the scraping device rotates to remove cuttings from at least one surface.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for flowing a fluid from an inlet flush nozzle onto tiered plates in a trough is provided. Material may fall from a deck in a vibratory separator, such as a shale shaker, into the trough, which is attached to the separator. The trough has a main inlet and the inlet flush nozzle that opens to tiered plates. An external pipe may feed the fluid into the main inlet and the inlet flush nozzle to lubricate the tiered plates in the trough. Material falling from the vibratory separator may float on the fluid to flow toward an outlet of the trough. A single plate with perforations may be used instead of the tiered plates to permit the fluid to penetrate the perforations to suspend the material, allowing the material to flow across the single plate to an outlet.

The separator can be utilized to separate drill cuttings from drilling fluid to increase an amount of drilling fluid recovered as a result of the pressure differential.

Abstract: A shaker separates components of a slurry. The shaker has a screen with a pressure differential applied to the screen to remove a portion of a slurry.
