    Abstract: Wake-up signal (WUS) downlink control information (DCI) may be configured to convey a wake-up indication as well as UE wake-up behavior configuration information. For example, WUS DCI may include one or more wake-up indications for one or more UEs via wake-up indication bits (e.g., wake-up indication bits may be conveyed in locations of the WUS DCI associated with monitoring indices of the one or more UEs to be activated). For example, WUS DCI may be encoded to include a wake-up indication and an indication of behavior configuration information for a group of one or more UEs. UE wake-up behavior configuration information may indicate some BWP to activate, may trigger a CSI report, etc. A UE may decode the wake-up indication and the wake-up behavior configuration information based on a monitoring index and the WUS configuration.

    Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit a user equipment (UE) to transition among different power configurations, which include different values for different power parameters, that impact an amount of power consumed by the UE. In some aspects, these transitions may be signaled by a base station based at least in part on traffic volume for the UE, which may assist with improving throughput and/or extending battery life of the UE. Furthermore, these transitions may be signaled dynamically, such as in downlink control information (DCI) and/or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) MAC-CE, which may conserve battery power and/or network resources as compared to reconfiguring the UE using an RRC message, and which may allow the UE to be reconfigured quickly as conditions associated with the UE change.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support allocation of a group-based configured uplink resource for idle mode uplink transmissions. User equipments (UEs) may be grouped geographically and/or functionally and may have sidelink communications among themselves, and may be in an inactive mode or an idle mode. A base station may allocation one or multiple configured uplink resources to the group of UEs, where the base station may be aware of the group based on signaling from a UE of the group. The group of UEs may determine which UE of the group may use the allocated resources, and in which occasions. Based on the determination, one or more UEs of the group may transmit an uplink message to the base station using the configured uplink resource assigned to the group.

    Abstract: Since multiple transmit-receive point (TRP) communications may increase the number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates or non-overlapped control channel elements (CCEs) without increasing the number of cells, new limits for multi-TRP communications including overbooking may be defined. A UE may determine whether a per scheduled cell limit is greater than a per TRP limit for a primary cell. The UE may identify, based on the determining, a set of search spaces of a PDCCH on which overbooking is permitted. The UE may receive the PDCCH from the primary cell within the slot. The UE may perform blind decoding operations on CCEs within the identified set of search spaces of the PDCCH within at least a total monitoring limit for a group of component carriers having a same sub-carrier spacing (SCS) as the primary cell and the per cell monitoring limit for the primary cell.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for determining a transmit power of a paging early indication (PEI) transmission. In particular, a user equipment (UE) receives a PEI from a base station indicating whether the UE is being paged during a paging occasion. The UE determines a transmit power of the PEI transmission. In some aspects, the UE determines the transmit power of the PEI transmission based on a configuration of the PEI provided to the UE, which may include an indication of the PEI transmission power as an absolute power value and/or a power offset value with respect to another transmission, signal, or channel. In some aspects, the transmit power of the PEI transmission is based on whether the PEI transmission is a beamformed transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for bandwidth parts of a plurality of cells that include at least a primary cell and a secondary cell, where the secondary cell supports cross carrier scheduling. The UE may monitor a first set of downlink control channel candidates on the secondary cell for a downlink control information message for at least one cell of the plurality of cells. The UE may receive, on the secondary cell based at least in part on monitoring the first set of downlink control channel candidates, the downlink control information message that includes a dormancy state indication for the at least one cell of the plurality of cells. The UE may communicate on active bandwidth parts of the plurality of cells based at least in part on the dormancy state indication for the at least one cell.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that may enable a user equipment (UE) to monitor a shared spectrum to receive control signaling and data transmissions associated with different transmission time intervals (TTIs). For example, a base station may communicate with a UE according to a first transmission mode during a first, shortened TTI. The base station may transmit a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI based on a subset of a number of blind decodes or control channel elements. Additionally, a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI may contain grants for multiple TTIs. In some cases, the base station may transmit a signaling to the UE via a reference signal, downlink control channel, or radio resource control which may indicate a change from the shortened-TTI transmission mode to a transmission mode with a TTI duration that is longer than the first, shortened TTI duration.
