    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may establish a transmission gap between downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) transmissions on a shared radio frequency (RF) spectrum band using time division duplex (TDD). A length of the gap may be based at least in part on a maximum allowed length of a filler signal corresponding to a coverage area of the base station. To reserve the shared band, a user equipment (UE) may communicate the filler signal for a length of time that is based at least in part on the maximum allowed length and a geographic distance between the UE and the base station. UEs farther from the base station transmit the filler signal of shorter lengths before sending an UL transmission, so that the UL transmissions from different UEs arrive at the same time at the base station regardless of the geographic distance between the UEs.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to updating control information based on medium sensing are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates with a second wireless communication device, a first transmission grant for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a frequency band. The first wireless communication device performs medium sensing for the TXOP. The performing the medium sensing includes detecting a reservation signal for the TXOP. The first wireless communication device transmits, to the second wireless communication device, an updated transmission grant for the TXOP based on at least the first transmission grant and the medium sensing. The first wireless communication device transmits, to the second wireless communication device in the frequency band, data during the TXOP based on the updated transmission grant.

    Abstract: Suppression of serving cell transmissions directed to second-served UEs may improve channel estimation of a serving cell or a neighbor cell. This may include using scheduling information for second-served UEs to suppress serving cell signals intended for second-served UEs having overlapping MIMO transmissions. Alternatively, this scheduling information may aid in suppressing a serving cell signal for a second-served UE to improve channel estimation of a neighbor cell. Various embodiments described herein, include implementations and techniques to aid channel estimation, and signal scheduling information to a first-served UE to aid in suppression of serving cell signals for second-served UEs.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to managing dynamic priority-based spectrum access are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits dynamic priority information for accessing a shared spectrum in a transmission opportunity (TXOP).     Abstract: Channel reservation systems and methods are disclosed herein, which schedule transmissions on a shared radio medium that is shared by a plurality of licensed network operators. In embodiments, priority access is pre-assigned to the network and the method determines whether to send a transmission based at least on the transmitter's priority class as compared to another transmitter's priority class and to which transmitter the time slot of a signal is dedicated. In embodiments, priority access may not be preassigned to the network and pre-grants may be used in conjunction with CR-Ts and CR-Rs to determine whether a transmitter transmits.

    Abstract: Phase compensation in a new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) coordinated multipoint (CoMP) environment is discussed. A base station may synchronize the phase between one or more additional base stations in a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) group serving one or more user equipments (UEs). This first synchronizing is performed prior to a current transmission opportunity between the CoMP group and the UEs. During transmission, a UE will sent a phase compensation reference signal (PCRS) to help with adjusting a phase drift that exceeds a predetermined threshold. The PCRS may be triggered by a signal from the base station or may be sent routinely by the UE. The UEs will transmit PCRS after each subframe, which the base stations use to adjust the phase.
