Abstract: Provided is a connector including a case having an opposing surface facing external device and a flat plate-shaped contact built in the case. The case includes a first opening which is formed at the opposing surface and through which a contact point of the contact to be connected to a connection terminal of the external device protrudes from the opposing surface, a receiver configured to receive a connector for external connection, and a holder configured to hold the contact. The contact includes the contact point which is disposed in the first opening and which is to contact with the connection terminal of the external device, an elastic portion which is disposed in the case and which moves the contact point in a substantially perpendicular direction relative to the opposing surface, a contact portion which is disposed in the receiver and which is to contact with a connection terminal of the connector for external connection, a held portion which is formed between the elastic portion and the contact portion and which is held by the holder in the case, and a connection portion which is formed between the elastic portion and the contact portion and which connects between the contact point and the contact portion in the case.

Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to provide a connector comprising a contact that forms an electric connection with a counterpart contact, having a first contact piece and a second contact piece branched by a bifurcated branching part, as well as a first contact point element provided to the first contact piece and a second contact point element provided to the second contact piece in contact with the surface of the counterpart contact when the counterpart contact is inserted between the first contact piece and the second contact piece. At least one of the contact pieces has a first elastic part that has elasticity and is capable of being displaced in a direction orthogonal to the plate thickness. Providing a part curved in the plate thickness direction between the branching part of the contact pieces and the contact point elements allows the connector to adapt to the space allowed to the connector while maintaining a sufficient elastic force. The contact may have first and second contact pieces that differ in length and shape, but maintaining the contact points at the same position makes it possible to prevent a rotational moment received by the counterpart contact at the time of fitting.

Abstract: A lock structure of a connector assembly includes a socket connector and a plug connector. The socket connector includes a mounting base member and conductive terminals disposed in the mounting base member, and the mounting base member is combined with an outer metal shell. A base of the plug connector includes a plug part combined in the docking chamber, and a connection part, and contact terminals. The base is combined with a shielding housing, and a handle is pivoted to shaft holes of the shielding housing. When the plug connector is not locked on the socket connector, the handle is pushed apart from each other, by the shielding housing, and not clasped on the outer metal shell. After the plug connector is combined on the socket connector, the handle can be rotated to return the handle to original locations, and make the handle clasp on the outer metal shell.
