    Abstract: A connector includes a contact having a contact point that is electrically coupled to a connecting terminal of an external device by pressing the connecting terminal onto the contact point, a protective member having an aperture for exposing the contact point from a surface of the side for pressing the external device and movable between a first position and a second position, a first shell covering the protective member with the aperture exposed, a base accommodating the contact and the protective member, and a ground contact having a first elastic portion that pushes up the protective member and the first shell, having a first held portion held by the base, and being grounded. The ground contact pushes up the protective member and the first shell with an elastic force of the first elastic portion. The contact point is positioned inside the protective member at the first position.

    Abstract: Provided is an electric connector, including: a housing placed on a circuit board and including a receiving concave portion formed by a substantially square-cylindrical-shaped inner wall surface and receiving a mating connector, and a center convex portion disposed between a pair of opposed walls forming the receiving concave portion; a plurality of terminals accommodated in a plurality of terminal grooves formed in each of the pair of the opposed walls; and a ground metal fitting connecting with a plate-shaped ground plate included in the mating connector, wherein the housing includes a space accommodating the ground metal fitting, where the space is disposed in the central area between the pair of the opposed walls and extends in the arrangement direction of the terminals, the upper part of the space communicates with an opening formed in the center convex portion, and receives the mating ground plate.

    Abstract: An electric connector includes a first connector 2 and a second connector 22. The first connector includes a first contact 4, a second contact 6, a plate like ground plate 8 arranged between the first and second contacts, and a first housing that holds the first contact, the second contact, and the ground plate.     Abstract: Provided is a connector including a case having an opposing surface facing external device and a flat plate-shaped contact built in the case.     Abstract: A connector includes a contact including a contact point to be electrically connected to an external apparatus when a connecting terminal of the external apparatus is pressed against the contact point, a protection member for protecting the contact point, and a base body storing the contact and the protection member. The protection member includes an opening for projecting the contact point on the external apparatus side from a surface on which the external apparatus is pressed. The protection member is movable between a first position and a second position with movement of the external apparatus.
