摘要： By this invention there is provided an apparatus for dispensing a liquid eyewash. The apparatus is mounted on a wall and is intended to flush out foreign matter from a person's eyes in an emergency or other situation. The apparatus comprises a valve operable to release liquid solution into a spray means and the valve is operated by control means after a user correctly positions their head in relation to a guide means adjacent the spray means which results in actuation of the valve and subsequent release of a jet of the liquid via the spray means into the user's eyes.

摘要： A hand-operated stick device includes a gripping portion, a working member and an elongated shaft with opposite ends connecting the gripping portion and the working member. The shaft has a wall thickness and at least three ribs projected from an inner side of the shaft. The ribs extend from an end of the shaft adjacent to the gripping portion to the other end adjacent to the working member. The ribs have a width and a height both of which are greater than or equal to the wall thickness. Therefore, it may increase the strength of structure and provide a safe use.

摘要： A method of selecting content to form a content presentation, the presentation comprising an ordered sequence of selected amounts of content, there being a plurality of items of content available for the presentation, the method comprising: (a) for each of the items of content, determining an associated weight-value based, at least in part, on one or more parameters for the presentation; (b) performing a weighted selection of one of the items of content, the selection being weighted in accordance with the weight-values associated with the items of content; (c) selecting at least a part of the content of the selected item of content to be one of the amounts of content in the ordered sequence of selected amounts of content; and (d) repeating steps (a), (b) and (c) until the presentation is complete.

摘要： An apparatus is described for polymorphic presentation ot pre-recorded motion picture content. The recorded content (DVD DISC) comprises individual segments ((1,0) (2,0) etc,}, and the apparatus comprises sequencing means (SEQ GEN etc) for defining a presentation sequence (Xp) of a subset of the segments and for causing the segments to be presented in accordance with the defined presentation sequence. The sequencing means is operable to generate said sequence by selecting and adding segments to a sequence already partly defined, using (i) randomised values and (ii) predetermined rules specifying compatibility between the segments already included in the sequence and segments which are candidates for adding to the sequence. Editing and content capture apparatuses are disclosed, in which a matrix presentation is used to organise content segments. Recorded segments can be grouped in X, Y etc. dimensions and sequences made by varying ‘character’ parameters (Y etc.) as well as timeline position (X).

摘要： A method and a corresponding system for obtaining a serum mid-infrared spectroscopic profile using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) are described. The method comprises acquiring FTIR spectra for dried sera and preprocessing the FTIR spectra of sera by differentiation and smoothing to enhance weak spectral features and to remove baseline variations. The preprocessed FTIR spectra are normalized to a common intensity range, the normalization being performed in a spectral sub-region defined by strongest infrared (IR) absorption for a protein to obtain the serum spectroscopic profile. The serum spectroscopic profiles provide a basis to diagnose immunoglobulin disorders or to quantify serum immunoglobulin levels.

The garment bag includes a garment receiving compartment defined by front and rear panels which are interconnected by respective side panels. A closable opening in the front panel permits access to the compartment. The compartment also includes a selectively closable bottom opening. Connected to the edges defining the bottom opening is a pocket which is movable between a first position in which it received within the compartment and second position in which it extends outward from the bottom opening to increase the effective length of the compartment.
