Abstract:
A system for uploading content includes a sender capable of sending an upload request, where the upload request comprises a request to upload content from the sender to a recipient. The system also includes a network entity, such as the recipient, capable of operating an upload agent. The upload agent, in turn, is capable of receiving the upload request, and thereafter determining an upload schedule relating to the time and/or manner of uploading the content. The sender can then be capable of uploading the content to the recipient in accordance with the upload schedule. The network entity can be further capable of recovering an upload session that has encountered an interruption.
Abstract:
A method and system for transmitting (10) a multimedia message, wherein a multimedia message to be transmitted is processed by dividing the multimedia message into at least a first message portion and a second message portion. The first message portion is transmitted to a multimedia message service control element (70), and the second message portion is transmitted to a media charger server element (50). A receiver terminal (20) is notified about the transmission of the multimedia message. The transmission of the first message portion from the multimedia message service control element (70) to the receiver terminal (20) is requested, and the transmission of the second message portion from the media charger server (50) element to the receiver terminal (20) is requested. At the receiver terminal (20) the first message portion and the second message portion are combined for obtaining the multimedia message transmitted.
Abstract:
A system is provided that includes a plurality of clients and a server capable of assigning the plurality of clients to at least one group for the transfer of content to the server and/or from the server. The server is capable of assigning at least one of the clients based upon a size of the content, a transfer speed, and a probability of transferring the content without experiencing an interruption in the transfer. In this regard, the server can also be capable of collecting statistical data relating to the transfer speed and probability to thereby determine the transfer speed and probability. After assigning the clients to the group(s), at least one of the clients can be capable of downloading content from, or uploading content to, the server based upon the group(s).
Abstract:
Various techniques for service access point configuration for mobile terminals of wireless systems are provided. Pre-configured service access point settings may be provided on a multimedia memory card with a client application capable of configuring the service access point settings in the mobile terminal from the pre-configured service access point settings on the multimedia memory card. Over-the-air updating of service access point settings may be performed by communication between a service access point and a mobile terminal or a client application on the mobile terminal for automatically configuring service access point settings on the mobile terminal based upon information provided by the service access point. Service content specific pricing in the mobile domain is also provided. Service content specific pricing content delivery may be provided through a particular service access point configured for the service content specific pricing.
