Abstract:
A portable reservoir has a fence that encloses an area of a support surface and a liner that rest on the support surface, and extends across the area and up the inside of the fence. The fence is made up of a number of fence sections that are connected together by interleaving connectors with pins. The liner has clips that hook over the top of the fence sections to support the vertical part of the liner. A stile provides access to the inside of the reservoir. The reservoir can have a large capacity and can be used for storing liquids used in hydraulic fracturing.
Abstract:
A heating device for an optical fiber may include a crucible body having an optical fiber receiving slotted passageway therein for receiving the optical fiber therein, and a heating element receiving passageway therein adjacent the optical fiber receiving slotted passageway and spaced apart therefrom. The heating device may include a respective electrically powered resistance heating element enclosed within the heating element receiving passageway for heating the optical fiber within the optical fiber receiving slotted passageway.
Abstract:
A dispensing system responds to reading data stored on a container by determining a dose for a chemical stored in that container. Then each time that the chemical is to be fed into a cleaning machine, the dispensing system operates a flow control device to deliver the designated dose. Thus the dispensing system is automatically reconfigured when different concentrations of the chemical are supplied to the dispensing system. Various mechanisms for storing the data on and reading the data from the container are described.

A composition comprising a) a surfactant comprising an anionic surfactant; b) at least 8 weight % of the composition of a C12-18 fatty alcohol, and c) water. A cleansing method includes applying the composition to skin or hair and washing, and optionally rinsing with water.
Abstract:
The subject invention pertains to an implantable therapeutic device for treating diabetes and methods of making. Upon implantation, the present device secretes insulin in response to blood glucose levels, exquisitely regulates blood glucose levels, reduces hyperglycemia, and includes β-cell regeneration in the host. It is useful for treating or ameliorating diabetes or diabetic conditions of a subject, including but not limited to, type 1 diabetes mellitus, hyperglycemia, impaired glucose tolerance, insulin deficiency, elevated glucose levels, and insulin resistance.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for performing a data driven test on a circuit including at least one built-in-self-test compatible device. In one embodiment, the method includes describing the device using a descriptive language including setting at least one default value associated with the device. The method also includes defining a scan path associated with the device, defining a netlist of the circuit, and configuring a test control program for the circuit. Additionally, the method includes changing the default value associated with the device. Testing the circuit after changing the value and using the test control program is also included wherein a portion of the test control program associated with the value remains substantially unmodified.
Abstract:
An x-ray tube 10 is provided including an anode mounted to a rotatable shaft positioned within a center bore of a stem element, a bearing assembly positioned between the rotatable shaft and the stem element, and at least one liquid metal shunt in thermal communication with both the rotatable shaft and the stem element, located adjacent to the anode between the anode and the bearing assembly, and directing heat generated at the anode away from the bearing assembly by allowing heat to flow from the rotatable shaft into the stem element prior to heat reaching the bearing assembly.
