摘要: A wet-type segmented friction material has a tape-like friction material substrate which is passed through and pressed between a roller having a dent at a center and a flat roller. At the same time, the friction material substrate is heated from an inside and an outside of the rollers so as to carry out a heat press compression processing. Then, a processed friction material substrate has a predetermined cross-section. The processed friction material substrate is cut into segment pieces each having a segment shape by a rotary push cutter having a sharp cutting edge. A cut position of the segment piece is selected such that two straight lines at two lateral sides of the segment shape is located within an area of a compressed portion of the processed friction material substrate. That is, a stepped or sunken compressed portion is provided on both sides of the segment piece.

摘要: A polymer composite material provides superior heat resistance, mechanical physical properties, substance permeation barrier properties, flame retardant properties, electrical conductivity and the like. Moreover, a novel surface-modified nanofiller utilizes this type of polymer composite material. The polymer composite material contains nanofillers, fluorocompounds and polymers. Fluoruocompounds bond to the surface of the nanofillers. The nanofillers to which fluorocompounds are surface-bonded are mixed with or dispersed in polymers.

摘要: A ring-shaped core metal is pressed and compressed by a main punch and a counter punch so as to have a wave shape. Moreover, each group of three micro-protrusions provided on each of top points of the wave shape are cut in the core metal. Then, three notches are cut on the core metal corresponding to the micro-protrusions. Furthermore, plastic flow is generated at a surface layer of the core metal due to partial compression by the notches at the time of pressing and compressing. Then, the waves are formed on the core metal with the notches as the top points. The notches are cut at seven sections respectively on a front surface and a rear surface of the core metal. Thus, seven waves are formed on the core metal in total. Since the notches are formed on the front and the rear surfaces of the waves, a “return” phenomenon is not generated as seen in a conventional cool working method. Thus, the waves are formed at high accuracy.

摘要: Disclosed is a brake band which includes a band and a lining connected to an inner peripheral surface of the band. The lining includes a plurality of grooves in its inner peripheral surface, the grooves which extend from an end to another end of the lining in an axial direction of a drum, rotating either in a clockwise direction or in a counter clockwise direction, obliquely with respect to an axial direction and a circumferential direction of the lining. The grooves include a communication passage which communicates an inner peripheral surface of the lining with the outside and which is disposed at a leading end of the grooves with respect to the clockwise rotational direction of the drum, and a trailing end of the grooves with respect to the clockwise rotational direction of the drum is disposed an inside of the another end of the lining. The brake band has a high cooling efficiency when the drum rotates in the clockwise direction. When the drum rotates in the counterclockwise direction, the oil is flowed to the trailing ends of the grooves, and it is blocked by the trailing ends. Accordingly, the oil is thus held in the grooves, and it is leaked gradually between the drum and the lining in a sufficient amount. Therefore, the brake band maintains the high cooling efficiency, and it inhibits the judder from occurring even when the drum rotates in the counterclockwise direction.
