摘要: To provide an anti-thief security sensor assembly in which the angle of an optical unit can be adjusted over a wide range without increasing the size thereof and in which an optical axis can easily be adjusted, the security sensor assembly includes an optical unit (14) mounted at its lateral sides on a support member (9) of a device body (4) for rotation about a horizontal pivot axis (24) for projecting or receiving a detecting wave. A drive gear (29) is rotatably mounted on the support member (9) and positioned laterally of the optical unit (14) and adapted to be manually turned. A driven gear (39) is mounted on a lateral side of the optical unit (14) and is drivingly meshed with the drive gear (29). The driven gear (39) is rotatable together with the optical unit (14) about a horizontal pivot axis (11).

摘要: A grinding apparatus for grinding a spline ball groove on a workpiece comprises a rod-shaped grindstone, having a distal end portion with a curved surface corresponding to the groove to be ground, and a spindle mechanism for rotating the grindstone. The spindle mechanism and the grindstone are supported by means of a supporter in a manner such that they are inclined at a given angle to an axis of the workpiece. A rotary dresser, which has a dress groove corresponding to the curved surface of the distal end portion of the grindstones is disposed near the grinding apparatus. The grindstone can be reciprocated along the axis of the workpiece by a drive mechanism between the workpiece and the dresser without changing its angle of inclination.

摘要: A passive-type infrared detector 1 includes an infrared sensor 3, a pair of lens elements (optical elements) 4R and 4L, a pair of mirrors 5R and 5L and a casing 2. The lens elements 4R and 4L are used to define detection areas a+ and a− opposed substantially 180° to each other for the infrared sensor 3. The mirrors 5R and 5L are used to direct infrared rays of light from the detection areas towards the infrared sensor 3. When this passive-type infrared detector 1 is installed at a position intermediate of an alert region, a combination of the infrared sensor 3, one of the lens elements 4R and one of the mirrors 5R is effective to monitor a range from one end of the alert region to the intermediate position whereas a combination of the infrared sensor 3, the other of the lens elements 4L and the other of the mirrors 5L is effective to monitor a range from the opposite end of the alert region to the intermediate position. Therefore, one half of the alert region may be a detection distance. Consequently, the lens elements 4R and 4L can have a reduced focal length, allowing the passive-type infrared detector 1 of a reduced outer size to monitor the long alert region.

摘要: In a method for grinding a traction surface of a half-toroidal CVT disk, there is provided a grinding machine including a hold mechanism holding the half-toroidal CVT disk having a given machining allowance, and a machining mechanism including a tool for grinding the half-toroidal CVT disk. The grinding of said grinding machine is performed in a state that one of the half-toroidal CVT disk and said tool is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the other. A cutting angle, which is an angle to be formed by the cutting direction of said tool with respect to the axis of the half-toroidal CVT disk, is set to be in the range of ±15° with respect to the angle that a first cutting magnification at the time of that said tool contacts with an outer periphery position of the traction surface is substantially equal to a second cutting magnification at the time that said tool contacts with an inner periphery position of the traction surface, each of said first and second cutting magnifications being a ratio of an apparent machining allowance to the given machining allowance.
