Abstract:
A conveyor belt tracking system incorporates a receiving arm secured within a conveyor belt operating system with a roller assembly. The roller assembly has an upper plate and a lower plate forming a high aspect ratio groove to receive a conveyor belt. An axle extending from the receiving arm supports the upper plate and lower plate for rotational motion.

Abstract:
A method of creating a template for presenting content within a document. The method includes defining a plurality of components, each including at least one content region and at least one of a frame, a template perimeter and an object. A number of links are then defined between the components, each link representing a respective spatial relationship. A processing system is then responsive to the template to populate the content region with content, generate a representation of each component and position the representation of each component in the document using the defined links to control the relative spatial positioning of the components.
Abstract:
An implantable medical device includes an optical hemodynamic sensor comprising at least one optical emitter and at least one detector. In some examples, the at least one optical emitter may be optically coupled to at least one light transmission member that extends from a housing of the medical device. In addition, in some examples, the at least one detector may be optically coupled to at least one light transmission member that extends from the housing of the medical device. In other examples, an optical emitter and/or detector of a hemodynamic sensor may be carried by an elongated member that extends from a housing of the IMD. The elongated member may electrically couple the optical emitter and/or detector to a controller or other components within the IMD housing.

Abstract:
Methods and systems are described for performing alternate routing of communications in a network. The system initiates a communication from an origination endpoint in a packet-switched network, such as a VOIP network, to a destination endpoint, and determining, according to selection criteria, whether to route the communication to the destination endpoint using at least a second circuit-switched network, such as the PSTN.
Abstract:
A method and system for monitoring the movement of academic test materials and/or their shipping containers while providing a complete chain of custody of those test materials and shipping containers. Test materials include paper based and electronic based tests and related items such as answer keys, teacher notes, and study guides. The providers of the test materials include, but may not be limited to, test publishers, state and federal agencies, specialized test developers, and distributors of tests created by other parties. Users include, but are not limited to, school districts, individual schools, students, corporations, and other individuals, as well as the test publisher, state and federal agencies, and other test producers. The tracking is done through the scanning of bar codes or RFID devices printed on or otherwise affixed to test materials and the test material shipping containers. The method and system monitors the chain of custody of the test materials throughout the distribution and return paths.
Abstract:
A composite film useful for image supporting media, including: a first layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and optionally containing a whitening agent; a second layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and a whitening agent; a third layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and a cavitating agent, wherein the third layer is a cavitated layer; optionally a fourth layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and optionally a whitening agent; and optionally a fifth layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and optionally a whitening agent; wherein the second layer is between the first layer and the third layer, the third layer is between the second layer and the optional fourth layer, and the optional fourth layer is between the third layer and the optional fifth layer. Embodiments may have the advantage(s) of improved outer surface characteristics, compressibility, thermal insulation, whiteness, and/or stiffness.
