An apparatus for discharging tissue that is folded several times and stacked is provided. The apparatus includes a cartridge that holds stacked tissue and has a through hole at one end, and a holding member that is disposed adjacent to the through hole of the cartridge and pivots on an axis to grasp and remove tissues one at a time from the top of the stack through an arm. The inventive apparatus allows a user to easily replace tissue and check the amount of tissue used and the amount left to use through visual means. The apparatus virtually eliminates the problem of tissue dispensing failure, and has increased precision and reliability and reduced dispensing time over conventional apparatuses.

The present invention discloses a method for preparing an impregnating pitch which is used for the manufacture of carbon-carbon composites having excellent mechanical properties at an ultra high temperature, abrasion resistance and the like, wherein the impregnating pitch having a low viscosity and an improved carbonization yield is provided by facilitating cross-linking reactions between the aromatic compounds in the pitch, while eliminating heat treatment.

The ultrasound system includes a processor that extracts plane data from volume data formed by using ultrasound signals received from a target object to form a plane image and sets a region of interest (ROI) on the plane image. The processor extracts at least a portion of the volume data to form a ROI image and a 3D image corresponding to the ROI image. A control unit controls a display unit to display the plane image together with the 3D image, and also controls the processor to set a new ROI on the displayed plane image to form a new ROI image and a 3D image corresponding to the new ROI image.

The present disclosure relates to an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and method thereof. The apparatus displays an ultrasound image obtained from an object on a first region of a display unit, and displays image information regarding measurement data with respect to a desired section of the ultrasound image on a second region of the display unit, wherein the image information displayed on the second region comprises an image map in which overall measurement data obtained at respective diagnosis points are accumulated in a time-series manner.

Embodiments for providing hospital information in a portable ultrasound system are disclosed. The portable ultrasound system includes a position information receiving unit to receive position information of the portable ultrasound system from an external system (e.g., GPS). A storage unit stores a table associating a plurality of diagnostic applications with respective diagnostic departments, and hospital information including hospital location information and diagnostic department information of a plurality of hospitals. A hospital information extracting unit searches the storage unit to find at least one hospital having a diagnostic department corresponding to an executed diagnostic application, and extracts hospital information corresponding to a hospital nearest to the portable ultrasound system among the at least one hospital based on the position information of the portable ultrasound system and the location information of the found hospitals. The portable ultrasound system displays location information on a screen of a display unit based on the extracted hospital information.

Embodiments of the present invention may provide an ultrasound system and a method for forming an ultrasound image. The ultrasound system includes: a diagnosis unit operable to transmit ultrasound signals to a target object and receive ultrasound signals reflected from the target object; a volume data forming unit operable to form volume data based on the received ultrasound signals; an input unit operable to receive plane selection information, region of interest (ROI) setting information and ROI reset information from a user; a processor operable to form a plane image of a plane selected in the volume data according to the plane selection information and set a ROI on the plane image based on the ROI setting information, the image forming unit being configured to form a ROI image and a 3D image corresponding to the ROI by using the volume data; a display unit operable to display the plane image or the ROI image together with the 3D image; and a control unit operable to control that the display unit displays the plane image with displaying the 3D image in response to the ROI reset information and the processor sets a new ROI on the displayed plane image based on the ROI reset information and forms a ROI image and a 3D image corresponding to the new ROI.

A plurality of first ultrasound data associated with an object of interest are stored before the medical treatment on the object of interest in the target body and a plurality of second ultrasound data associated with an object of interest are stored after the medical treatment on the object of interest in the target body in a storage unit. Instructions are input from a user for selecting any pair of first ultrasound data and second ultrasound data among a plurality of the first ultrasound data and a plurality of the second ultrasound data, which are stored in the storage unit. From the storage unit, the first ultrasound data and the second ultrasound data are extracted, and the extracted first ultrasound data and the extracted second ultrasound data are compared to form comparison information.
Abstract:
Embodiments for automatically finding a standard view corresponding to an acquired ultrasound image of a target object in an ultrasound system are disclosed. A mapping table associating information on a plurality of standard views of a target object with predetermined first feature vectors is stored in the storage unit. The predetermined first feature vectors may have been previously calculated from the typical plane images corresponding to the standard views. A processing unit calculates a second feature vector from an acquired ultrasound image, and refers to the mapping table to select one of the first feature vectors closest to the second feature vector. The processing unit extracts information on the standard view corresponding to the selected first feature vector from the mapping table.
