    摘要: A locking structure of a cap-member to a cylindrical body, being capable of giving sufficient resilience to a locking arm formed on the cap-member, is provided, which consists of: a resilient locking arm provided on a peripheral wall of the cap-member in a peripheral direction thereof; and an engaging groove provided on the cylindrical body for engaging the locking arm simultaneously with fitting of the cap-member on the cylindrical body. The locking arm is provided with an engaging projection projecting from a free end portion thereof toward a longitudinal axis of the cap-member and having a tapered surface inclined in a fitting direction of the cap-member and an engaging plane on a back of the tapered surface to engage the engaging groove. A plurality of the locking arms are arranged on the peripheral wall of the cap-member. The locking structure may further include an annular sealing member to be retained between the cap-member and a holder body formed continuously from the cylindrical body. The cap-member is axially fixed to the cylindrical body by means of the engaging plane of the locking arm and an annular plane inside the cap-member. Thus, a locking structure capable of easily and surely locking the cap-member to the cylindrical body can be realized.

    摘要: A connector in which the deformation of lock portions is prevented, and the connector can have a compact design, and housings are prevented from being displaced with respect to each other in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Transverse grooves of a dovetail shape are formed respectively in widthwise opposite ends of an upper surface of a lower housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed in a widthwise central portion of this upper surface. Transverse ribs of a dovetail shape are formed respectively at widthwise opposite ends of a lower surface of an upper housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed on a widthwise central portion of this lower surface. The transverse ribs are greater in projecting height than the longitudinal ribs. When the ribs are press-fitted respectively into the associated grooves, the two housings are locked together. When an external force of above a predetermined level is applied so as to separate the two housings from each other, the ribs are withdrawn respectively from the grooves, thereby disconnecting the two housings from each other.

    摘要: A connector fitting construction in which a half-fitted condition is positively prevented when fitting a pair of male and female connectors together, and the fitting operation and a fitting release operation can be effected easily, and a connector housing can be formed into a small size. In this connector fitting construction, the male connector includes a connector housing, and an exclusive-use housing forming a slider receiving portion for receiving a slider therein. Guide grooves for respectively guiding opposite side portions of a body of the slider are formed respectively in opposite side portions of the exclusive-use housing. A lock arm, provided at a central portion of the exclusive-use housing, includes a lock beak having a slanting surface, and a housing lock formed on a lower surface thereof at a front end thereof, and side spaces are provided respectively on opposite sides of the lock arm. The slider has a slider arm provided in the slider body, the slider arm having a pair of abutment projections. The female connector includes a pair of stopper projections, which are formed on a housing, and abut respectively against the abutment projections when the two connectors are fitted together, a slanting projection having a slanting surface, and an engagement groove.

    摘要: A short-circuit terminal fitting 30 is provided with a protection wall 35 to prevent deformation of elastic contact portions due to interference by other members and to prevent excessive deformation of the elastic contact portions due to an excessive pressing displacement of a lock arm. The protection wall 35 is so formed as to surround the leading free ends of elastic contact portions 32 which are fixed at one end thereof and hanging at the other end thereof. When the short-circuiting terminal fitting 30 is handled alone, the elastic contact portions 32 are unlikely to be interfered with by other members since they are surrounded by the protection wall 35 and, accordingly, the deformation of the elastic contact portions 32 due to interference by other members can be prevented. Further, the protection wall 35 prevents deformation of the elastic contact portions 32 that otherwise could be caused by a lock arm 21 engaging the elastic contact portion 32 when the fitting 30 is mounted in a female connector housing 20.
