    摘要: A connector in which the deformation of lock portions is prevented, and the connector can have a compact design, and housings are prevented from being displaced with respect to each other in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Transverse grooves of a dovetail shape are formed respectively in widthwise opposite ends of an upper surface of a lower housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed in a widthwise central portion of this upper surface. Transverse ribs of a dovetail shape are formed respectively at widthwise opposite ends of a lower surface of an upper housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed on a widthwise central portion of this lower surface. The transverse ribs are greater in projecting height than the longitudinal ribs. When the ribs are press-fitted respectively into the associated grooves, the two housings are locked together. When an external force of above a predetermined level is applied so as to separate the two housings from each other, the ribs are withdrawn respectively from the grooves, thereby disconnecting the two housings from each other.

    摘要: In a connector equipped with a rear holder, the rear holder in an open state is coupled with a housing of the connector by a fixing belt. A rear holder mounting device is provided with a cutter and slide bar. The cutter is moved to cut the fixing belt. The slide bar is moved to close the rear holder so that the rear holder is engaged in the housing. Thus, working before mounting the rear holder in the connector can be smoothly carried out. The rear holder, without being damaged or deformed, can be easily mounted in the connector.

    摘要: There is disclosed a crimping connector in which the efficiency of the operation is enhanced by simplifying a process of crimping sheathed wires. Also the efficiency of arrangement of a terminal assembly in a mating connector is enhanced. Each of housings 10 and 11 includes an upwardly-open wire connecting portion 2 and a terminal connecting portion 3 of a closed cross-sectional shape communicating with the wire connecting portion 2, and the housings 10 and 11 are integrally connected together through hinges 4 so that the wire connecting portions 2 of the housings, as well as the terminal connecting portions 3 thereof, can be stacked one upon another vertically in the same position and the same direction, and also crimping terminals 30 in the stacked housings 10 and 11 are arranged vertically in the forward direction. Sheathed wires 40 are press-connected to the crimping terminals 30 in the housings 10 and 11 by a crimping jig 50 which moves upward and downward at the same position in the horizontal direction.

    摘要: Upper and lower connector housings are respectively formed substantially in a box shape having upper and lower walls. The upper and lower connector housings are connected to each other by overlapping an upper wall of the lower connector housing and a lower wall of the upper connector housing in an opposing state. Engaging holes are respectively formed on the lower wall of the upper connector housing and the upper wall of the lower connector housing. The engaging hole of the upper connector housing is closed by the upper wall of the lower connector housing. The engaging hole of the lower connector housing is closed by the lower wall of the upper connector housing. Accordingly, the terminal can be securely prevented from coming out from the terminal receiving chamber and the adjacent terminals can be securely prevented from being shorted.

    摘要: A connector conduction tester includes a conduction testing section and a connector holding section which are arranged on a stand frame and an operating section for moving the conducting testing section towards the connector holding section, in which a conduction testing operation is carried out with testing pins of the conduction testing section abutted against terminals in a connector. In the tester, the stand frame has a spacer supplying hole which is confronted with a spacer inserting hole formed in a connector set in the connector holding section, and spacer pushing device located below the spacer supplying hole. Furthermore, a conduction testing method in which a connector is set in a connector holding section and a conduction testing section is moved, so that the conduction of terminals in the connector is tested with testing pins, in which a spacer is supplied to a spacer supplying hole in a stand frame which hole is confronted with a spacer inserting hole formed in the connector, and when the connector is engaged with the conduction testing section, the spacer is pushed into the spacer inserting hole from the spacer supplying hole with the aid of pushing device.

    摘要: Both a method of assembling a connector and a connector housing usable for executing the method are provided. In the method, the connector housing moulded as one body is prepared at first. The housing consists of a housing body with an opening, a cover for closing the opening and a connecting piece for connecting the connector housing with the cover. Then, a wire is installed into the body through the opening. Next, the connecting piece is cut, so that said cover is separated from said housing body. Thereafter, the separated cover is slid into said housing body on the opening, so that it is covered with the cover. To facilitate the sliding of the cover, the housing body is provided with a sliding groove while the cover is provided with a projection to be engaged with the groove.

    摘要: A rear holder integral-type connector is constituted by a hollow rectangular housing body made from resin, and rear holders coupled integrally with the upper and lower walls of the housing body through displaceable hinges respectively. The rear holders are bent, at a position displaced from the fore side of the upper wall of the housing body to the rear side slightly, toward the fore side with the displaceable hinges as pivotal axes. The housing body and the rear holders which are disposed back to back, are temporarily fixed by temporary fixation hinges. These temporary fixation hinges are formed integrally with the housing body and the rear holders. Locking side pieces for locking are provided at the both side ends of the rear holders, and locking grooves are provided at a rear end portion of the housing body.
