    摘要: A connector in which the deformation of lock portions is prevented, and the connector can have a compact design, and housings are prevented from being displaced with respect to each other in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Transverse grooves of a dovetail shape are formed respectively in widthwise opposite ends of an upper surface of a lower housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed in a widthwise central portion of this upper surface. Transverse ribs of a dovetail shape are formed respectively at widthwise opposite ends of a lower surface of an upper housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed on a widthwise central portion of this lower surface. The transverse ribs are greater in projecting height than the longitudinal ribs. When the ribs are press-fitted respectively into the associated grooves, the two housings are locked together. When an external force of above a predetermined level is applied so as to separate the two housings from each other, the ribs are withdrawn respectively from the grooves, thereby disconnecting the two housings from each other.

    摘要: A connector fitting construction in which a half-fitted condition is positively prevented when fitting a pair of male and female connectors together, and the fitting operation and a fitting release operation can be effected easily, and a connector housing can be formed into a small size. In this connector fitting construction, the male connector includes a connector housing, and an exclusive-use housing forming a slider receiving portion for receiving a slider therein. Guide grooves for respectively guiding opposite side portions of a body of the slider are formed respectively in opposite side portions of the exclusive-use housing. A lock arm, provided at a central portion of the exclusive-use housing, includes a lock beak having a slanting surface, and a housing lock formed on a lower surface thereof at a front end thereof, and side spaces are provided respectively on opposite sides of the lock arm. The slider has a slider arm provided in the slider body, the slider arm having a pair of abutment projections. The female connector includes a pair of stopper projections, which are formed on a housing, and abut respectively against the abutment projections when the two connectors are fitted together, a slanting projection having a slanting surface, and an engagement groove.

    摘要: A connector is provided to prevent an increase of stresses in soldered portions between terminals and a circuit board during thermal expansion. Terminals 11 are mounted in a housing 10 and are positioned by an alignment plate 12 for mounting in holes H of a circuit board P. Movable holding portions 17, which are elastically deformable, are formed in a plate main body 13 of the alignment plate 12. The movable holding portions 17 are connected with the plate main body 13 via connection portions 18. Positioning holes 15 for aligning the terminals 11 are formed in each movable holding portion 17. Even if the plate main body 13 is displaced with respect to the circuit board P due to thermal expansion with the terminals 11 fitted in and soldered to connection holes of the circuit board P, such a relative displacement is corrected by the elastic deformation of the movable holding portions 17 and the connection portions 18 and, accordingly, the positioning holes 15 are held in specified positions with respect to the connection holes. Therefore, there is no likelihood that stresses in the soldered portions increase due to the displacement of the positioning holes 15 with respect to the connection holes.

    摘要: A switch-equipped connector device, comprises: a case having an opening; a cover to be removably mounted on the case so as to cover the opening; a first connection terminal on the side of load and a second connection terminal on the side of a power supply, a connection portion between which is exposed from the opening, and which are held in the case; a short-circuiting terminal attached to the cover; a switch connector located in said opening, the switch connector to be electrically connected to the short-circuiting terminal in the opening, the short-circuiting terminal being disconnected from said switch connector when the cover is removed from the case; and a switching device connected to the second connection terminal through the power supply, the switching device interrupting power supply to the second connection terminal when the cover is removed from the case. In the above configuration, the switching device is operated when the short-circuiting terminal is electrically disengaged from the switch connector in a removed state of the cover so that power supply to the second connection terminal is interrupted. Therefore, when the cover is detached from the case for maintenance of the connector device, an operator can remove the connection terminal on the side of a power supply with safety without receiving electric shock.

    摘要: A holding tool (40) is inserted into a retainer-attaching hole or a holding tool-accommodating space (22) with the holding tool (40) supporting a short-circuit terminal (15) therein. The short-circuit terminal (15) is inserted into a cavity (14) in a connector housing (10) by pushing a rear end of the terminal (15) through a handling aperture (23) by means of a pushing pin (45). Since the terminal (15) is inserted into the connector housing (10) from its lower side, a front opening of the cavity (14) can be formed into the smallest size so that a short-circuit-releasing member (31) can enter the opening (20). Extraneous substances hardly enter the cavity (14) in the connector housing (10) through the opening (20). Also, since the handling aperture (23) may be formed into the smallest size so that the pushing pin (45) can enter the aperture (23), the connector housing (10) becomes a small size. Thus, the connector housing (10) can be prevented from becoming a large-sized configuration and from entrance of the extraneous substances through the front opening (20) of the cavity (14).

    摘要: A locking structure of a cap-member to a cylindrical body, being capable of giving sufficient resilience to a locking arm formed on the cap-member, is provided, which consists of: a resilient locking arm provided on a peripheral wall of the cap-member in a peripheral direction thereof; and an engaging groove provided on the cylindrical body for engaging the locking arm simultaneously with fitting of the cap-member on the cylindrical body. The locking arm is provided with an engaging projection projecting from a free end portion thereof toward a longitudinal axis of the cap-member and having a tapered surface inclined in a fitting direction of the cap-member and an engaging plane on a back of the tapered surface to engage the engaging groove. A plurality of the locking arms are arranged on the peripheral wall of the cap-member. The locking structure may further include an annular sealing member to be retained between the cap-member and a holder body formed continuously from the cylindrical body. The cap-member is axially fixed to the cylindrical body by means of the engaging plane of the locking arm and an annular plane inside the cap-member. Thus, a locking structure capable of easily and surely locking the cap-member to the cylindrical body can be realized.
