Abstract:
A message inputting device is provided. The message inputting device includes a template having a blank space for filling so as to produce a message.
Abstract:
A mortise lock includes a chassis, a handle assembly mounted to a side of the chassis, a sleeve, and a trim for returning the handle assembly. The handle assembly includes a spindle and a handle. An end of the sleeve is securely mounted around an end of the spindle to turn therewith. The other end of the sleeve receives the other end of the spindle and is securely connected to the handle. The trim includes a spring seat, a ring received in the spring seat and mounted around the sleeve, and a spring mounted on a side of the ring. The spring seat includes a plate mounted around the sleeve. A protrusion is formed on an inner periphery of the body and engaged in a longitudinal groove in the sleeve. Two ends of the spring respectively abut against two sides of a leg extending from the ring.
Abstract:
A remote control device and method with speech control for controlling an electric appliance which stores up an identifiable speech vocabulary data. The remote control device includes a sensor and a speech identification module. The sensor receives speech to produce a speech sense signal. The speech identification module establishes contact to the electric appliance through communication protocol and obtains the identifiable speech vocabulary data with which a speech vocabulary of the speech sense signal is compared to produce a remote control signal. The remote control signal controls the said electric appliance by communication protocol.
Abstract:
A method and a device for speech synthesizing are provided. The method is used for generating a speech answer in a speech dialogue system, in which the speech dialogue system includes a speech recognizing process for recognizing a speech input inputted from a user to generate a textual answer. The method includes steps of extracting a speech prosody information of each of phonemes in the speech input, storing the speech prosody information in a database, providing a prosody model for producing an operational prosody information corresponding to a constituent structure of the textual answer, retrieving a corresponding speech prosody information of each phoneme based on at least parts of the constituent structure of the textual answer from the database, integrating the operational prosody information and the corresponding speech prosody information to generate an integrated prosody information of each phoneme corresponding to the constituent structure, and linking respectively the integrated prosody information of each phoneme corresponding to the constituent structure to generate the speech answer.
Abstract:
An apparatus for extending “phone book” records of a subscriber identification module (SIM) card comprising a detecting module for accessing a subscriber identification code (SIC) of the SIM card and a memory is provided. A storage window marked by the SIC is defined in the memory. As the user edits the “phone book” records of the SIM card, a portion of the records is stored in the marked storage window.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a method of editing a new interface of a portable electronic device by using a browser in which the new interface is edited with texts and graphs provided on a website associated with a server, which comprises the steps of enabling the portable electronic device to access the Internet and to login the website associated with the server; inputting and editing texts and graphs provided on the website associated with the server through a browser so as to edit a picture frame of the new interface; and downloading the edited interface to a specific folder in the portable electronic device to replace an original interface thereof.
Abstract:
A lock includes a main body having an outside seat and an inside seat around which an inside rose liner is mounted. A peripheral wall delimiting a central hole of the inside rose liner includes at least one pair of notches. A reinforcing ring is mounted round the inside seat and inside the inside rose liner. The reinforcing ring includes two tabs each having a distal end received in a respective groove of the inside seat, preventing relative rotation between the reinforcing ring and the main body. Two positioning posts extend from an outside rose liner mounted around the outside seat. Two fasteners extend through the reinforcing ring and the inside rose liner into screw holes of the positioning posts, thereby securing the reinforcing ring, the inside rose liner, and the outside rose liner together. The torque-resisting capacity is thus improved.
Abstract:
An interactive computer-assisted language learning method implemented by means of a language learning system is provided. First, the correct pronunciation of a first sentence is output from the language learning system. Thereafter, a learner pronounces the first sentence in imitation to the correct pronunciation. The first pronunciation by the learner is compared with the correct pronunciation according to the language learning system. The learner may pronounce the sentence again according to the compared result. A comment according to these results of the comparison is output to show the learner's faults. Meanwhile, the language learning system also pronounces a second sentence with a pronunciation similar to the first sentence and phrases, examples, synonyms related to the first sentence so that the learner can learn grammar and practice hearing skills simultaneously. The language learning system points out the blind spots of learning to learner immediately and interacts with the learner timely to improve learning efficiency.
Abstract:
A door lock includes a main body having an inside seat and an outside seat. The inside seat includes two diametrically disposed flat surfaces and two arcuate surfaces. An inside rose liner is mounted around the inside seat and includes a central hole. A wall projects from a periphery delimiting the central hole and extends along a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the main body. The wall includes two diametrically disposed flat sections respectively engaged with the flat surfaces of the inside seat. The wall further includes two arcuate sections respectively engaged with the arcuate surfaces of the inside seat. Thus, the torque-bearing capacity of the door lock is improved.
Abstract:
A lock includes an outside spindle, an outside hub for rotatably receiving the outside spindle, a cam received in the outside spindle, and a sleeve received in the cam and slidable along a longitudinal direction of the outside spindle. A lug is formed on an end of the cam and operably connected to the retractor. The sleeve includes a longitudinal slot having an enlarged section. A peg is mounted in the cam and received in the longitudinal slot of the sleeve. The sleeve is engaged with the outside spindle to turn therewith. When the locking bar is moved to a locking position, the peg is located in the enlarged section such that the sleeve and the outside spindle turn freely without causing rotation of the cam when the outside spindle is turned.
