An apparatus for producing plastic bottles comprising: a blow moulding machine including a blow moulding carousel being configured to transform a succession of plastic preforms into respective bottles; a filling machine including: a filling carousel, and a plurality of handling units; a labeling unit configured to feed a succession of labels to be attached to the respective bottles; and a conveying system configured to transfer the bottles within the apparatus. The labeling unit is arranged peripherally to the filling carousel and is configured to feed the labels to the handling units carrying the respective bottles while the handling units are advanced by the filling carousel. The conveying system includes a plurality of consecutive transport star wheels transferring the bottles in a continuous stream from the blow moulding carousel to the filling carousel.

A manifold for a filling unit for filling a plurality of articles with a pourable product is disclosed. The manifold includes a first flange configured to be fixed to a tube for filling a tank with a pourable product; a second flange configured to rotate about an axis with respect to the first flange and be fixed to the tank, the second flange defining a passage for a first fluid other than the pourable product and adapted to be conveyed inside the tank; a fluidic line bounded between the first flange and the second flange and configured to be filled with a second fluid in order to prevent contaminant agents from reaching the passage; a sealing element interposed between the first flange and second flange; at least one piston movable along the axis and operatively connected to the sealing element; and a pneumatic circuit operable to exert a pressure on a third fluid acting on the piston, so as to press the piston against the sealing element along the axis.

A flow control valve for a filling machine configured to fill receptacles with a pourable product, the flow control valve comprising: a tubular body defining a channel for the pourable product, the tubular body having a longitudinal axis and terminating with at least one narrowed end mouth; and a shutter movable within the channel between a closed position, and an open position. The shutter includes a main portion coupled in a sliding manner with an inner surface of the tubular body; and a narrowed closing head, wherein the main portion of the shutter includes a flat plate extending along a diameter of the channel with respect to the longitudinal axis, contacting the inner surface of the tubular body at opposite sides and defining, with the remaining portions of the inner surface, two opposite cavities, which have respective profiles shaped as circular segments and through which the pourable product can flow during operation.

A transfer device for conveying a plurality of packaging units along a transfer path comprising: a first carrier having at least one first operative branch parallel to the transfer path; at least one first conveying element advanced along the first carrier; a second carrier adjacent to the first carrier and having at least one second operative branch parallel to the transfer path and to the first operative branch; and at least one second conveying element controlled independently from the first conveying element and advanced along the second carrier; wherein the first conveying element and the second conveying element are configured to retain therebetween a packaging unit of the plurality of packaging units and to advance the packaging unit along the transfer path.
Abstract:
A gluing system for applying glue on products is disclosed. The gluing system includes a glue applicator configured to deposit melted glue on products, a glue container configured to contain excess melted glue discharged from the applicator and fresh melted glue, a glue delivering unit configured to deliver glue from the container to the applicator and a glue discharging unit configured to convey excess glue not used by the applicator to the container. The container is divided by a partition into a first chamber, containing the fresh melted glue, and into a second chamber containing the excess melted glue and separated from the first chamber. The partition includes a filter allowing flow of the fresh melted glue and the excess melted glue from both the first and second chambers to the delivering unit.

The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus for handling at least one receptacle to be filled with a pourable product. The apparatus includes a conveying unit configured to advance the at least one receptacle along a path; a filling unit configured to fill the at least one receptacle with the pourable product as the at least one receptacle is advanced along the path; a labeling unit configured to apply at least one label onto the at least one receptacle during advancement of the at least one receptacle along the path; a labeling detection unit configured to detect correctness of the application of the at least one label on the at least one receptacle based on at least one predetermined criterion; and an electronic control unit configured to cooperate with the labeling detection unit to control the operation of the filling unit based on the correctness of the labeling of the at least one receptacle.

The carousel includes one of at least one seat or at least one pin. The article-handling machine further includes a modular operative group configured to carry out the operation on the article. The modular operative group includes the other one of at least one seat or at least one pin. The at least one pin is configured to engage the at least one seat, so as to dock the modular operative group to the carousel. The article-handling machine further includes at least one constraining assembly for constraining the at least one pin inside the at least one seat. The constraining assembly is configured to move towards and away from the at least one seat between a rest configuration and an operative configuration.
