Abstract:
Provided is a method of performing time synchronization using a navigation device. The method includes: (a) performing time synchronization between a GPS satellite and a navigation device by receiving GPS signals by a navigation device from at least one GPS satellite; (b) establishing an interface between the navigation device and a time-using device; (c) setting conditions for transmitting time information to the navigation device; and (d) performing time synchronization between the navigation device and the time-using device by transmission of time information from the navigation device to the time-using device.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and a method for diagnosing fault and processing data of a satellite ground system. The apparatus and a method can prevent data loss of a satellite, and efficiently operate the satellite ground system using data buffer and penalty method when a temporary fault occurs. Data buffer stores data in fault situation and penalty method imposes high penalty in critical fault and low penalty in minor fault. System is managed according to penalty degree. The apparatus, includes: a satellite data processing and controlling means; a signal transforming means; a fault detecting and controlling means; a state displaying means for displaying a state of the satellite and the system; a penalty managing means for being notified whether the device has fault or not; a data storing means for storing and transmitting the data; and a system recovery supporting means.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for retrieving a moving picture using a descriptor of a tree-structured moving picture index. If the user starts a query for the retrieval of information, a decoder sends an in-index highest-order key frame number, in-index edge information and an intra-layer threshold value list of a tree-structured moving picture index descriptor stored therein to a server environment. Then, the server environment reads a key frame number and sends it to the decoder. The decoder sends a feature vector designated by the key frame number to the server environment. Subsequently, the server environment first compares the designated feature vector with a query feature vector and, thereafter, the compared result with a threshold value and retrieval precision desired by the user to determine whether the key frame number is concerned with a query picture. If the key frame number is concerned with the query picture, the server environment transfers the retrieved result to a user environment. This processing is sequentially carried out by key frame numbers.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method creating a ghost-free High Dynamic Range Image (HDRI) based on filtering are provided. It is possible to effectively prevent a ghost phenomenon from occurring when a single HDRI is created from a plurality of LDRIs, by defining a ghost area using a probability based on a global transfer function indicating a relationship for intensities of several frames, rather than searching for or identifying a ghost area in a single or each image.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for processing a navigation signal are provided. When a navigation signal is received and processed, a search range associated with signal processing may be reduced by directly computing a clock offset of a receiving terminal, and accordingly it is possible to reduce an operation amount associated with the signal processing, and an amount of a power consumed by the receiving terminal. Additionally, due to a reduction in the search range, it is also possible to reduce a time required to acquire a signal.

A semiconductor device and a method of fabricating the same are provided. The semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate in which a multi-depth trench is formed, the multi-depth trench including a shallow trench and a deep trench arranged below the shallow trench, a first dielectric material formed in partial area of the multi-depth trench, the first dielectric material including a slope in the shallow trench that extends upward from a corner where a bottom plane of the shallow trench and a sidewall of the deep trench meets, the slope being inclined with respect to the bottom plane of the shallow trench, and a second dielectric material formed in areas of the multi-depth trench in which the first dielectric material is absent.
Abstract:
An image sensor is provided having: a color filter layer including a red color filter with a first thickness, a green color filter with a second thickness, and a blue color filter with a third thickness; and a microlens array having a first microlens with a fourth thickness formed on the red color filter, a second microlens with a fifth thickness formed on the green color filter, and a third microlens with a sixth thickness formed on the blue color filter. In one embodiment, the sums of the first thickness and the fourth thickness, the second thickness and the fifth thickness, and the third thickness and the sixth thickness can be the same.
