The image forming control device includes a pixel data generation controller and an image forming mechanism controller. The pixel data generation controller receives data of an image to be formed and an instruction for image formation, and generates image data to be input to an image forming mechanism that forms an image on a recording medium. The pixel data includes data of each pixel that makes up the image to be formed. The image forming mechanism controller controls image formation performed by the image forming mechanism according to the generated pixel data.

    摘要: An optical writing device is configured to form electrostatic latent images on a plurality of photosensitive elements by a plurality of light sources. The optical writing device includes: an image-data acquiring section that acquires image data; and a light-source control section that performs light-emission control on the light source based on pixel data generated from acquired image data, and also performs a neutralization process on the photosensitive element by controlling the light source to expose the photosensitive element to light. In the neutralization process, the light-source control section divides a period during which light-on/off control can be performed on the light source, into sub-periods based on pixel data input to the light-source control section, and causes the light sources to be lit in any one of the sub-periods so as to always place at least one of the plurality of light sources in a light-off state.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms developer images in different colors on image carriers; a first transfer unit that transfers the developer images onto an endless conveying body; a second transfer unit that transfers the developer images onto a recording medium; pattern detecting units that irradiate a given developer pattern formed on the endless conveying body with a light beam and detect reflected light from the pattern; a cleaning unit that cleans developer images adhered to the second transfer unit; and a control unit that controls each of the units. The pattern detecting units are arranged between the second transfer unit and the image carrier on the most upstream side from the second transfer unit in a rotation direction of the endless conveying body. The control unit changes a cleaning time of the cleaning unit based on a detection result of the pattern detecting units.
