Abstract: A modular system and method for improving the receiving, processing, storing, and transloading of bulk materials such as organic waste. A system includes at least a receiving module to receive material, a storage module, a discharge module, and a control system. A liquid capture system captures and retains liquid from the organic material. Systems can be adapted with additional modules, such as processing modules and transfer modules, depending on the site and materials to be handled. The storage module has a levelling component for levelling out the organic material stored therein, including a levelling conveyor in a top region, and a removal component for discharging the organic material. A control system interfaces with the modular components and local operators, and provides remote reporting and monitoring.

Abstract: A method and system for supporting trailers carrying mechanical equipment, such as hydraulic fracturing oil and gas equipment are provided. One, two or at least three supports extend from the trailer toward ground and are configured to partially support the trailer when in contact with ground, in addition to any axle groups that exist on the trailer. At least one device configured to absorb, damp, or both absorb and damp vibrations from the mechanical equipment during operation is provided. Each device is operatively coupled to, for example integrated with, a corresponding one of the support structures.

Abstract: A proppant metering and loading apparatus for a hydraulic fracturing blender unit is provided. A continuous loop conveyor belt receives proppant from a source location on the blender, such as a hopper, and delivers the proppant to a blender device of the blender. A measurement device (e.g. weigh scale) measures and provides an indication of amount (e.g. weight, volume and/or density) of the proppant delivered to the blender device by the conveyor belt.

Abstract: A modular fluid-carrying manifold apparatus is provided for use in hydraulic fracturing blenders and other devices. A manifold can include one or more interchangeable sections. Each section may have a flat front face with ports cut into the front face. Components such as valves and hammer unions are directly removably connected to the ports via bolts. This eliminates the need for welded-on piping. Removable, wear-resistant inserts can be located in the ports. The removable components may be considered consumable and replaced when worn out.

Abstract: An apparatus for covering an open top of a transportation trailer container, such as a chip train carrying wood chips, is provided. A flexible cover (e.g. tarp) may be deployed and retracted using a roller moved overtop of the container using pivotable arms. An electrically powered covering mechanism automatically deploys and retracts the cover. The covering mechanism is powered by a supercapacitor, which is charged when connected to an external power source. A charging control circuit can selectably allow or inhibit charging of the supercapacitor depending on power demands of other electrical loads.

Abstract: A cover shield system for a telescoping conveyor system and an associated telescoping conveyor are provided. The cover is extendable for covering a length of a telescoping portion of the conveyor system. A free end of the cover is connected to the telescoping portion at a far end. A shuttle assembly is biased to retract the cover for storage, for example by rolling the cover into the shuttle assembly under spring action. The shuttle assembly may be movably mounted to the telescoping portion of the conveyor system to allow relative movement of the shuttle assembly and the telescoping portion during telescopic extension/retraction of the conveyor system. The shuttle assembly is also anchored to the base portion at least during the telescopic extension. The cover may include reinforcement bars and/or connecting magnets. An idler roller may bias the cover toward the conveyor frame.

Abstract: Material handling solutions for a mobile conveyor vehicle are provided. In one aspect, a vehicle having an infeed and output conveyor is provided, one of the conveyors being mounted non-rotatably to the vehicle and positioned by rotation-in-place of the vehicle via four wheel steering. In another aspect, a dust control cover for a telescoping conveyor is provided, having a pair of flexible flaps which are parted by a plough-shaped chute which travels through a gap between the flaps and delivers material to the lower conveyor section. In another aspect, a hydraulic fluid transmission system for a mobile conveyor vehicle is provided which makes use of at least one hollow structural element to route the hydraulic fluid. The structural member may radiate heat from the fluid for example to melt snow on the vehicle structure.

Abstract: A blender tub for hydraulic fracturing operations and associated components are provided. A spinning proppant distributor located above the blender tub liquid level interrupts and redirects falling granular proppant material (e.g. sand) into the tub. A fluid intake channel wraps around at least part of the blender tub outside wall and introduces liquid (e.g. water) into the blender tub via a plurality of channels. The liquid is introduced with a force and angle which imparts a vortex within the blender tub. The above aspects facilitate blending of material within the tub.
