    摘要: A water ring encoding apparatus configured to process an initial data set, such as a video image frame, is disclosed. The water ring encoding apparatus includes a a scanner and an encoder. The initial data set is organized with at least one initial origin enveloped by a plurality of nested initial environs successively surrounding each other in the initial data set. The scanner is configured to write a portion of the data from the initial data set into a scanned data string by starting at the RC grouping corresponding to the initial origin (initial water ring (0)) and by sequentially progressing outwardly from the family of RC groupings corresponding to the nearest nested initial environ (initial water ring (1)) towards the family of RC groupings corresponding to a furthest nested initial environ (initial water ring (n)). The encoder is configured to encode the scanned data string into an encoded data string.

The broadcasting signal receiving apparatus includes a communicating unit for receiving a broadcasting signal, an extracting unit for extracting a broadcasting program and program information from the received broadcasting signal, and a determining unit configured to generate a temporal signature for confirmation (confirmation signature) which determines whether the program information is changed or not from the original program information and determine validity of the program information by comparing a signature included in the extracted program information with the confirmation signature.

    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving reference image data and 3D additional image data in 3D image data so as to provide a 3D image in a digital broadcasting system. In the method, a basic image and a 3D additional image in a 3D image of a 3D broadcasting service is processed in a stereoscopic image format of one of a side-by-side method and a top-down method. The basic image and the 3D additional image processed in the stereoscopic image format are encoded to a basic image stream and a 3D additional image stream. The encoded basic image stream and the encoded 3D additional image stream are multiplexed to a 3D image stream of a single stream using a dual stream method, and the multiplexed 3D image stream is then transmitted.
