Abstract: The disclosure relates to an assembly (1) for providing a fastening possibility for a vehicle component to a body component (11). The assembly (1) includes a connecting element (2) and a retaining element (3). The retaining element (3) includes a base body having a retaining region (4), and the connecting element (2) includes a base body having a receiving region (5), in which at least the retaining region (4) of the retaining element (3) is received in a rotatable manner relative to the receiving region (5) about an axis of rotation. The assembly (1) can be transferred from a pre-assembly or deliverable state into an assembled state. In the pre-assembly or deliverable state of the assembly (1), the retaining element (3) lies in a first rotational position relative to the receiving region (5) of the connecting element (2) counter to a torsion torque serving as a biasing force and exerted by a biased torsion spring (6) on the retaining element (3), wherein, in the assembled state of the assembly (1), the retaining element (3) lies in a second rotational position that is different from the first rotational position. Due to an external pulse or trigger exerted on the retaining element (3), the assembly (1) can be transferred from its pre-assembly or deliverable state into its assembled state. When the assembly (1) is transferred from its pre-assembly or deliverable state into its assembled state, the retaining element (3) is at least partially transferred into the second rotational position due to the force of the torsion spring (6).

Abstract: Welding-type power supplies with adjustable AC current commutation thresholds are disclosed. An example welding-type power supply includes an interface device to receive a commutation selection input, a power converter to convert input power to welding-type power, a commutator circuit to output alternating current (AC) welding-type power and to control a polarity of the AC welding-type power, and a control circuit. The control circuit determines a threshold output current based on the commutation selection input, determines an output current and a polarity of the AC welding-type power and, when the output current is less than the threshold output current, controls the commutator circuit to change the polarity of the AC welding-type power.

Abstract: Systems and methods for missing weld identification using machine learning techniques are described. In some examples, a part tracking system uses machine learning techniques to identify whether an operator has missed one or more welds when assembling a part. The part tracking system may additionally identify which specific welds were missed (e.g., the first weld, the third weld, the fifteenth weld, etc.). The part tracking system may be able to identify missing welds after a part has been completed, or in real-time, during assembly of the part. Identification of the particular weld(s) missed during the welding process can help an operator quickly assess and resolve any issues with the part being assembled, saving time and ensuring quality.
