摘要: A method and computer program product for managing communications with a user include defining one or more communication profiles for a user, in which defining the one or more communication profiles includes defining one or more communication channels for the user, and defining a preferred communication schedule for each of the one or more communication channels. The preferred communication schedule is associated with a respective one of the one or more communication channels. Communications with the user by a contacting user are managed based upon, at least in part, the one or more communication profiles for the user.

摘要: A method, system and computer program product for providing accurate recipients lists. Keywords (e.g., processor, monitor) in a document (e.g., electronic mail message) are identified. These keywords are tagged, where tagging refers to an index term assigned to a piece of information, such as these keywords. A list of recipients may be provided to be correlated with these tagged keywords. The list of recipients is associated with these tagged keywords thereby providing a predefined recipient list to be used when a subsequent document with these tagged keywords is identified. Furthermore, the user is provided an option to modify this recipient list when a subsequent document containing the tagged keywords associated with the recipient list is identified thereby ensuring an accurate recipient list is used.

摘要: A system for automatically providing different levels of formality controls in a communication is disclosed, in which a formality level is determined based on a current communication context. The formality level is used to enable an appropriate level of automatic checking of the communication contents. The determination of a formality level for a communication may be based on any specific context information regarding the participants and/or contents of a communication. including but not limited to the relative positions of participants within an organizational hierarchy (“organizational distance”), the professional relationships of the participants (e.g. service provider to client/customer), the frequency of communications between participants, the geographic locations of participants, the number of previous errors in the communication contents, configurable participant preferences, express communication settings by participants, etc. The determined formality level may be used to enable any specific type or level of automatic message contents checking, including but not limited to various types and levels of spell checking (e.g. location specific spell checking), grammar checking, acronym substitution, cultural filtering, etc. The disclosed system may determine organisational distances based on the contents of user directories, such as lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) directories.

摘要: A system for dynamically changing session behavior based on user and/or group classification in response to server demand. The system operates to dynamically alter current session behavior experienced by individual users and/or groups of users in response to monitored server demand. An intelligence server provides application servers with actions to be taken to dynamically change current user sessions, in response to current server demand, for example based on rules known by a rules engine within the intelligence server. A ranking system within the intelligence server takes its input from a monitoring system also in the intelligence server, and dynamically keeps track of individual user's relative ranks against other users that are actively being monitored.

摘要: A method, system and program are provided for moderating the automated scheduling of meetings and their respective participants. Input actions are received resulting in the origination of a meeting, which is then assigned a hierarchical prioritization value that is cross referenced to the meeting moderator's hierarchical ranking parameters, which are contextually referenced to a hierarchical directory system. Candidate meeting participants are selected for the meeting and their availability information is retrieved. Comparison operations are then performed against the priority ranking of the meeting, the meeting participant's availability information, and the respective hierarchical ranking parameters of the meeting moderator and candidate meeting participants. Optimum scheduling for the meeting is determined and scheduling conflicts are identified. Conflicting meetings are pre-empted if they have a lower prioritization value or if they were originated by a moderator with lower hierarchical ranking parameters. Affected participants are notified of the preemptions and their reassignment to the newly-originated meeting. The meeting is conducted and meeting status information is communicated by the scheduling moderation system.
