Abstract: Systems and methods are described that recommend images, items, and/or metadata based at least in part on a reference color palette or reference color name. A color name can be converted into a representation of the color name in a color space. The reference color can be used to identify images that contain the reference color. The identified images and associated metadata can be analyzed, sorted and provided as an ordered list of items. Systems and methods are also described that identify items that contain colors affiliated with the reference color. Systems and methods are also described that validate color identifier information in metadata associated with an image. Systems and methods are also described that identify non-color specific keywords associated with the reference color.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for systems and methods for personalizing portable shopping displays using mobile devices and inaudible tones. Example methods may include causing a first inaudible tone to be emitted by a speaker, the first inaudible tone configured to initiate a change in a user interface at a mobile device, determining a second inaudible tone from a user device using a microphone, the second inaudible tone including a user identifier of a user, and determining a user interaction with a product at a product display. Abstract: Features are disclosed for dynamically generating enhanced content showing an item to simulate a physics property of the item via an interaction that will initiate such interactive features. A physics model may be generated to enhance existing content. To generate the physics model, the system analyzes the content such as to detect a feature of the item (e.g., zipper on a clothing item or button on an electronic device item) shown in the content. Some aspects also consider the access device rendering the enhanced content to ensure the enhanced content is appropriately selected and formatted for presentation via the access device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining a principal image from a collection of images presented in a perspective view. A perspective view of images may be interactive and/or images may simultaneously increase or decrease in size in response to user interaction. Methods and/or techniques may be used to determine a principal image from a set of images based on a direction, speed, and/or velocity of movement or user interaction. A principal image in the perspective view may be the largest currently presented image and/or may be presented at the forefront to the user. Furthermore, an animation and/or video may be presented to the user following a determination of a principal image and/or after a configurable period of time without subsequent user interaction, which may further highlight or bring attention to a particular item to the user.

Abstract: A projection equipped computing device is described that projects an accurate representation of an item available for purchase from an electronic marketplace onto a projection surface. For example, the device may identify physical dimensions of an item from an image of the item. The device may then determine the distance between it and the projection surface and project a light beam toward the projection surface to form a representation of the item on the projection surface. The representation of the item formed on projection surface has representative dimensions that mimic, at the determined distance, the physical dimensions of the item as identified from the image of the item. Accordingly, the user of the device can envision how the item would appear in a space located relative to the projection surface if the user purchased the item from the electronic marketplace and placed the item in that space.
