The present invention relates to sulfatized esteramines obtainable by a process comprising step a), wherein at least one alcohol containing at least two hydroxy groups (compound (A)) is reacted with at least one lactam (compound (B)) and with sulfuric acid (compound (C)). The present invention also relates to a process for preparing such sulfatized esteramines.

The present invention relates to a process for the synthesis of organosulfate salts of amino acid esters comprising the steps of reacting at least one lactam with at least 3 carbon atoms in the lactam ring with sulfuric acid in an aqueous solution followed by esterification of the reaction product of the previous step with at least 200 mol-% of at least one alcohol selected from the group consisting of linear alkyl alcohol containing one hydroxy group, branched alkyl alcohol containing one hydroxy group, linear alkylether alcohol containing one hydroxy group, branched alkylether alcohol containing one hydroxy group, phenoxyalkanols containing one hydroxy group, and mixtures thereof; followed optionally removal of water and/or removal of excess alcohol.

This invention relates to polyetheramines based on 1,3-dialcohols, in particular to an etheramine mixture comprising at least 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the etheramine mixture, of anamine of Formula (I) and/or (II), wherein R1-R12 are independently selected from H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, or arylalkyl, wherein at least one of R1-R6 and at least one of R7-R12 is different from H, wherein A1-A9 are independently selected from linear or branched alkylenes having 2 to 18 carbon atoms, preferably 2-10 carbon atoms, most preferably 2-5 carbon atoms, wherein Z1-Z4 are independently selected from OH or NH2, wherein at least one of Z1-Z2 and at least one of Z3-Z4 is NH2, and wherein the sum of x+y is in the range of from 2 to 200, wherein x≧1 and y≧1; and x1+y1 is in the range of from 2 to 200, preferably 2-20, most preferably 2-10, wherein x1≧1 and y1≧1.

Disclosed herein are novel alkoxylated polyalkylene imines or alkoxylated polyamines having amphiphilic properties. Additionally disclosed herein is a process for preparing such alkoxylated polyalkylene imines or alkoxylated polyamines as well as a method of using such compounds within, for example, cleaning compositions and/or in fabric and home care products. Further disclosed herein are those compositions or products as such.

The application relates to a process for the synthesis of organic sulfonic acid salts of amino acid esters comprising the steps of (i) reacting at least one lactam with at least 3 carbon atoms in the lactam ring with at least one organic sulfonic acid in an aqueous solution, (ii) esterification of the organic sulfonic amino acid salt of step (i) with at least one alcohol with at least 8 carbon atoms comprising at least one hydroxyl group, (iii) optionally removal of water and/or removal of excess alcohol of step (ii).
