The present invention relates to water-soluble alkoxylated polyalkyleneimines having an inner block of polyethylene oxide comprising 5 to 18 polyethylene oxide units, a middle block of polyalkylene oxide comprising 1 to 5 polyalkylene oxide units and an outer block of polyethylene oxide comprising 2 to 14 polyethylene oxide units. The middle block is formed from polypropylene oxide units, polybutylene oxide units and/or polypentene oxide units.In addition, the present invention relates to water-soluble alkoxylated polyamines.

The present invention is directed towards an aqueous solution comprising (i) in the range of from 45 percent by weight to 60 percent by weight based on the total weight of the solution of at least one complexing agent (A), selected from the group consisting of methylglycine diacetic acid and its respective mono-, di-, or trialkali metal and mono-, di-or triammonium salts, and glutamic acid diacetic acid, and its respective mono-, di-, tri-or tetraalkali metal and mono-, di-, tri-or tetraammonium salts, (ii) in the range of from 1 percent by weight to 30 percent by weight based on the weight of component (A) of at least one homo-or copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid (B) that is either partially or fully neutralized, and (iii) water, said aqueous solution being stable for at least one week.

The present invention relates to novel graft polymers comprising a polymer backbone (A) as a graft base having polymeric sidechains (B) grafted thereon. The polymeric sidechains (B) are obtainable by polymerization of at least one vinyl ester monomer (B1) and optionally a further monomer (B2), wherein—if present—the weight ratio of monomer (B2) to monomer (B1) is less than 0.5. The polymer backbone (A) is obtainable by polymerization of ethylene oxide, and the molecular weight of the polymer backbone Mn in g/mol is within 500 to 5000. The present invention further relates to a process for obtaining such a graft polymer, the process is preferably carried out by free-radical polymerization. The present invention also relates to the use of such a graft polymer within, for example, fabric and home care products. Also claimed are fabric and home care products containing such graft polymer.
