The example stent delivery system includes an inner shaft having a proximal portion, a distal portion and at least one lumen extending therein. The inner shaft further includes a stent receiving region disposed along the distal portion. The stent delivery system further includes a stent disposed along the stent receiving region. Additionally, the inner member includes a plurality of apertures disposed along at least a portion of the stent receiving region and the plurality of apertures are configured to permit fluid to flow therethrough and expand the stent.

Abstract: Medical devices and methods are disclosed in the present application. In one illustrative example a tissue removal device may comprise an elongate shaft defining a lumen and having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein a proximal portion of the elongate shaft has a first diameter and a distal portion of the elongate shaft has a second diameter, and wherein the first diameter is less than the second diameter and an elongate member disposed at least partially within the elongate shaft, the elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end of the elongate member comprising a cap. In some further embodiments, the elongate member may be axially translatable between a proximal position and a distal position, and the cap may form a closed receptacle with the distal portion of the elongate shaft when the elongate member is in the proximal position.

Abstract: An esophageal stent configured to span a stricture may include a tubular body configured to shift between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration, the tubular body having a first end and a second end. In the deployed configuration: the tubular body defines a first flange portion, a second flange portion, and a saddle portion extending from the first flange portion to the second flange portion; the tubular body further defining an overall longitudinal length extending from the first end to the second end; the first flange portion has a first outer radial extent, and the second flange portion has a second outer radial extent; the first outer radial extent and the second outer radial extent are greater than an outer radial extent of the saddle portion; and a longitudinal length of the saddle portion is at least 50% of the overall longitudinal length of the tubular body.

Abstract: A medical stent includes a central stent segment, a proximal stent segment adapted to be positioned over a proximal region of the central stent segment, and a distal stent segment adapted to be positioned over a distal region of the central stent segment. A polymeric coating extends over the proximal stent segment, the distal stent segment and at least a portion of the central stent segment, the polymeric coating adapted to allow the proximal stent segment to float over the proximal region of the central stent segment and to allow the distal stent segment to float over the distal region of the central stent segment. Upon implantation, the central stent segment is adapted to translate relative to the proximal stent segment and the distal stent segment in response to peristaltic forces.

Abstract: Example medical stents are disclosed. An example stent includes a tubular framework including an inner surface, an outer surface and a lumen extending therethrough. Additionally, the stent includes a tissue ingrowth scaffold extending along a portion of the outer surface of the tubular framework, wherein the tissue ingrowth scaffold is spaced radially away from the outer surface of the tubular framework to define an expansion cavity therebetween and wherein the tissue ingrowth scaffold permits tissue ingrowth along a portion thereof. Further, the stent includes an expandable member positioned within at least a portion of the expansion cavity.

Abstract: An endoprosthesis includes an elongated tubular member including a filament forming circumferential rows having a plurality of knitted loops and intermediate rungs extending between adjacent knitted loops. The tubular member includes at least one window and may include a plurality of anti-migration loops adjacent the at least one window and configured to shift between first and second positions when unconstrained. Making the endoprosthesis includes forming the plurality of knitted loops and intermediate rungs in a first row of loops and rungs, extending the filament to form a second row of loops and rungs interwoven with the first row, and forming the at least one window without cutting the filament. Placing the endoprosthesis includes positioning the endoprosthesis within a body lumen adjacent a branch lumen, expanding the tubular member to span the branch lumen, and shifting at least some anti-migration loops toward the second position and into the branch lumen.
