    摘要: In order to provide a catheter which can be operated even when it is deformed inside a bent blood vessel and whose movable part can be easily bent and the movable part thus bent is firmly kept in this shape, a catheter includes: a fluid-driven actuator including: a balloon; a restricting member for restricting inflation of the balloon in a short axis direction of the catheter; and a tube which is less stretchable in a long axis direction of the catheter than the balloon is, according to a cross-sectional view of the fluid-driven actuator taken along the short axis direction of the catheter, the tube being eccentrically provided with respect to the restricting member.

    摘要: Catheter including an inner tubular member having a fluid lumen defined therein and an exterior surface. The exterior surface defining a first distal flow port and a second distal flow port. An outer tubular member is movable relative to the inner tubular member in a proximal direction and having an interior surface. A first pressure chamber is defined between the exterior surface and the interior surface, and between a first distal seal assembly and a first proximal seal assembly. A second pressure chamber is defined between the exterior surface and the interior surface, and between a second distal seal assembly and a second proximal seal assembly. Fluid introduced through the fluid lumen pressurizes the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber to generate a respective force at the first proximal seal assembly and to the second proximal seal assembly to urge the outer tubular member in the proximal direction.

    摘要: A system for generating a mechanical wave is disclosed. The system comprises a camshaft having plurality of rotatable cams, serially mounted on a shaft along an axis of an elastic tubular shell to form a varying phase angle along the shaft. The system further comprises a plurality of cam followers arranged circumferentially about each cam, such that a rotary motion of the cams generates a linear motion of the cam followers to radially bias in internal wall the shell. The variation of the phase angle is selected to generate a three-dimensional traveling wave along the shell.

    摘要: An endoscopic device capable of autonomous locomotion through a body cavity with a pre-established direction of displacement, comprising a tubular body (1) made of an elastic material extending between two, front (2) and rear (3) end portions respectively comprising pneumatically actuated anchoring means (4) for temporarily and alternately attaching said end portions to the wall of the body cavity in synchronism with corresponding axial extensions and contractions of the tubular body. The tubular body incorporates a reinforcement structure (6, 7) distributed along its length that is substantially rigid in the radial direction and yielding in the axial direction. The tubular body wall is formed by superimposed inner (9) and outer (10) layers, the reinforcement structure being incorporated therebetween. Through openings (11, 12, 13) are formed on the outer layer for allowing air possibly entered between the inner layer and the outer layer from the inside of the tubular body to be discharged to the outside.

    摘要: The present invention provides a self-withdrawing catheter device for injection of material into a body passageway, comprising: a) a highly-flexible elongated shaft including at least one injection channel, attachable to a syringe; b) a canopy attached to the shaft near the distal end, the canopy providing smooth self-withdrawal of the catheter from within a body passageway, due to backward fluid pressure exerted upon said canopy after injection of material through said catheter. The invention also provides a surgical method and kit for fistular repair, comprising the afore-mentioned catheter, an additional balloon catheter for injecting fluids to clear a fistula, a debriding brush, a guide wire for aiding in inserting the components into the fistula, and hooks and ties for connecting these elements and drawing them into the fistula.
