摘要: A normally closed pneumatic valve and regulator assembly having regulator and vent valve spools is actuated by an operator pushbutton to automatically regulate pressure of a fluid provided from a pressure source. The valve assembly automatically vents when the pushbutton is released. A bias spring is operatively positioned between the pushbutton and one of the valve spools. The spring is preloaded by a pair of interlinked hook members which limits the travel of the pushbutton with respect to the valve spool and which maintains the spring in a preloaded condition so as to set a minimum value of regulated pressure. Fluid pressure from the pressure source urges the regulator valve spool into a normally closed position and the vent valve spool into an opened position. Pushing the pushbutton opens the regulator valve and closes the vent valve. The spring acts in opposition to fluid pressure on the combined valve spools to provide a regulated, reduced pressure for fluid exiting the valve. When the pushbutton is released, fluid pressure urges the valve spool into the normally closed position uncovering a vent hole to release pressurized fluid from the valve outlet.

摘要: A first normally open solenoid valve “A” is connected to passageway (32). A second normally open solenoid valve “B” is connected to a passageway (36). A latching valve (24) includes a valve spool chamber (26) and a valve spool (50) within the chamber. An air-delivery conduit (20) delivers pressurized air to both a first passageway (32) and a second passageway (36). Passageway (32) is connected to one end of the valve spool chamber (26). Passageway (36) is connected to the opposite end of the valve spool chamber (26). The valve spool (50) has two positions. In the first position, passageway (32) is connected with a passageway (40) that extends to an air-operated device (44). Flow through the valve (24) to and from passageway (36) is blocked. In the second position, flow from passageway (32) to passageway (40) is blocked. Also, flow through the valve (24) to and from passageway (36) is blocked. Air in the air-operated device is vented through passageway (40), the path (42), valve spool groove (56) and passageway (46) to a vent avenue (48).

摘要: A contactless control switch (20) for a vehicle for actuating a system between an open and a first closed circuit position is disclosed. The switch includes a housing (22) and a pivot assembly (24) disposed within the housing. The switch also includes a switch actuator (26) having first and second ends. The switch actuator is coupled to the pivot assembly for producing pivoting motion of the switch actuator in response to a force (84) applied to the switch actuator. The switch also includes first and second proximity sensors (80a and 80b) and a first magnet (70). The proximity sensors are disposed within the housing and the first magnet is fastened to the switch actuator second end. The first magnet is adapted to be selectively displaced into and out of close proximity with one of the proximity sensors when the force is applied to the switch actuator. The switch (20) also includes a biasing member (52a and 52b) disposed between the switch actuator and the pivot assembly for biasing the switch actuator into an open circuit position.

摘要: A valve plug is biased inwardly by a spring (90) to close an opening (10) in a cap (2) for a fuel tank filling and venting tube. A valve stem includes a first portion (62) which is engaged by the spring (90) and a second float cage portion (40) that is secured to and extends axially inwardly from the plug. A collapsible retainer (70) is secured to the cage (40) and has an abutment surface (74) which engages an abutment surface (68) on the first portion (62) to hold the cage (40) and the first portion (62) in position relative to each other and to transmit axial forces therebetween. A fusible material ring (88) is positioned radially between the retainer (70) and the cage (40) to prevent the retainer (70) from collapsing. At elevated temperatures, the ring (88) melts to allow the retainer (70) to collapse, the cage (40) and first stem portion (62) to separate from each other, and the valve plug and cage (40) to move away from the opening (10).

摘要: A fill tube (12) leading into a fuel tank (10) is provided with a normally closed closure door (20) and a fill nozzle seal (24, 26, 30) spaced outwardly of the closure door (20). When liquid fuel is to be added to the fuel tank (10) a fill nozzle (32) is inserted through the fill nozzle seal (24, 26, 30). A seal element (30) engages the outside diameter of the fill nozzle (32) and seals against vapor leakage between the seal element (30) and the fill nozzle (32). Further insertion of the fill nozzle (32) into the fill tube (12) moves the end of the fill nozzle (32) against the closure door (20) opening the closure door (20). When this happens, fuel vapor within the fuel tank (10) flows through an opening (18) that is normally closed by the closure door (20), to and through an outlet (36) leading from a chamber (34) that is between the fill nozzle seal (24, 26, 30) and the closure door (20). The vapor flows from the chamber (34) into and through a vapor recovery passageway which leads to a vapor storage device (38). Liquid fuel being introduced into the fuel tank (10) displaces vapor from the fuel tank (10) through the vapor recovery passageway to the vapor storage device (38).

摘要: A housing 10, 12 includes a slide chamber 14 in which a slide bar 30 reciprocates between three positions. A coil spring 60 is carried by the bar and extends into lower and upper recesses 50, 52 in the housing. When the bar is reciprocated from the intermediate position to either of the other positions, the ends of the recesses 54 compress the spring, thereby biasing the bar into the intermediate position.

摘要: A conductive member of plate form is supported on a spring biased member into a static postion of contact at a first corner with a support surface and at a second adjacent corner with a first contact member. A load applying member makes contact with the conductive member on the side thereof opposite from the spring biased support. A low rising pressure acting through the load applying member swings the conductive member in position about a first axis defined by its locations of contact with the support surface and the first contact member into a position in which it also contacts a second contact member and completes a conductive path between the two contact members. An intermediate rising pressure signal causes the conductive member to swing in position about a second axis defined by its locations of contact with the two contact members and against the operator of a micro-switch. A high rising pressure signal causes the conductive member to swing in position about a third axis defined by its locations of contact with the operator of the micro-switch and with the second contact member and move out of contact with the first contact member, to in that manner open the conductive path between the two contact members.
