Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions delivering enhanced visual benefits to the skin with specific optical attributes. These are delivered using specific deposition systems and/or by ensuring dispersion of particles.
Abstract:
A low density slurry bridge mix for use in an inflatable restraint system is provided. The low density slurry bridge mix includes zirconium metal, a thermal conductivity enhancer such as aluminum metal, potassium perchlorate oxidant, and a binder material and has a dry density of about 45 to about 65 percent of theoretical density. The low density slurry bridge mix may be used in an initiator including an unground header attached to a raised bridgewire wherein the low density slurry bridge mix surrounds and adheres to the bridgewire.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for reorienting an agile vehicle, such as a satellite or spacecraft, using a control moment gyroscope (CMG) array. The CMG array comprises a plurality of CMGs onboard the agile vehicle. A method comprises obtaining an input torque command for reorienting the vehicle using the CMG array and, when the angular momentum of the CMG array violates or is approaching a momentum boundary criterion, decreasing the input torque command in the kinetic momentum direction, resulting in a modified torque command, and operating the CMG array using the modified torque command.
Abstract:
N-[1S,2S]-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-(3-cyanophenyl)-1-methylpropyl]-2-methyl-2-{[5-trifluoromethyl]pyridine-2-yl}oxy}propanamide (Compound I) has surprisingly improved solubility and bioavailability in a lipophilic vehicle comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable digestible oil, a surfactant, or a cosolvent, or a mixture of any two or more thereof. In one embodiment of the present invention are self-emulsifying or self-microemulsifying composition comprising 1) Compound I; 2) a surfactant having an HLB of 1 to 8; and 3) a surfactant having an HLB of over 8 to 20; and optionally, 4) a digestible oil and/or cosolvent and/or antioxidant or preservative.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a new and distinct cultivar of raspberry plant named ‘Driscoll Estrella’. The new cultivar is distinguished from other raspberry cultivars by its yellow fruit color, fruit firmness, consistent fruit structure and high yield. The new cultivar is distinguished from its pollen parent by producing a higher yield of larger, firmer fruit with a brighter yellow color.
Abstract:
A control system of a spacecraft for controlling two or more sets of collinear control moment gyroscopes (CMGs) comprises an attitude control system. The attitude control system is configured to receive a command to adjust an orientation of the spacecraft, determine an offset for a momentum disk for each of the two or more sets of CMGs that maximizes torque, determine a momentum needed from the two or more sets of CMGs to adjust the orientation of the spacecraft, and calculate a total torque needed by taking the derivative of the momentum. The control system further comprises a momentum actuator control processor coupled to the attitude control system, the momentum actuator control processor configured to calculate a required gimbal movement for each of the CMGs in each of the two or more sets of collinear CMGs from total torque.
Abstract:
An international foreign exchange (FX) payment solution is provided that offers straight-through processing of FX rate requests, FX contract initiation, and settlement of funds to and from foreign beneficiaries. The invention is based on a system and method of business using a real-time XML messaging interface, open source access, and industry-standard messaging formats. No special hardware or software is required to implement the invention. The invention enables a customer, e.g. a business or Partner Financial Institution, to connect their core back-end systems and customer-facing Internet platforms directly to an enterprise's real-time FX rate engine and foreign settlement capabilities.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions delivering enhanced visual benefits to the skin with specific optical attributes. These are delivered using specific deposition systems (where oil/emollient comprises part of deposition system) and/or by ensuring dispersion of particles.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to solid pyrotechnic propellant compositions useful in automotive inflatable safety systems for generating gas to inflate air/safety bags. The propellant compositions produce surprisingly high gas volume to weight ratios when combusted and substantially little to no production of smoke, particulate matter and toxic gases. These propellant compositions include a complex or coordination compound, preferably, a complex of hydrazine.
