A pump component within the cartridge is actuable to move fluid through the controllable fluid pathways.     Abstract: Various aspects of the subject disclosure relate to a compounder system having a cartridge that includes controllable fluid pathways. One or more rotary piston pump/valves may be used to move fluid and/or gasses through the various fluid pathways of the cartridge. For example, the cartridge may include a dedicated rotary piston pump/valve for each process that moves fluid and/or gas through the cartridge. When turning, the rotary piston pump/valve acts as a pump to move the fluid or gas, and when the rotary piston pump/valve stops turning, it effectively acts as a shutoff valve, preventing any fluid flow. Magnetic couplers for the cartridge may be provided on a pump head of the compounder system.

    Abstract: Syringe control assemblies are described herein. A syringe control assembly includes an assembly body, a first syringe, a second syringe, and a pump assembly. The first and second syringes are releasably coupled to a syringe mounting rack of the assembly body. The pump assembly includes a first pump unit and a second pump unit. Each pump unit is in fluid communication with each respective syringe. In a priming configuration, the first pump unit is configured to draw fluid flow from the first syringe cavity and the second pump unit is configured to pump fluid flow into the second syringe cavity.

    Abstract: A needleless connector includes a housing having a central longitudinal axis, a body portion, and a base portion. The body portion includes an inner surface forming an internal cavity, and a first port forming a first fluid passage to the housing cavity. The base portion includes a top end section and a bottom end section. The top end section has a protrusion, and the bottom end portion has a second port forming a second fluid passage to the housing cavity. The needleless connector further includes a valve having a wall with an inner surface forming a valve cavity.     Abstract: A circular roller clamp assembly includes a semi-circular housing configured to receive a portion of an IV tube, a motor and a motor arm coupled to the motor. A roller is coupled to the roller arm, the roller movably received by a guide groove disposed in the semi-circular housing. A flow rate of fluid flowing through the IV tube is regulated based on roller impingement of the IV tube against a tube channel in the guide groove via circumferential movement of the roller along the guide groove.     Abstract: Drip chambers are described herein. A drip chamber comprises an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber body. The chamber body defines a chamber volume in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The chamber body is movable between a collapsed configuration having a first volume and an expanded configuration having a second volume. The second volume is larger than the first volume, and the chamber body is configured to be moved from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration to draw in a medical fluid from the inlet into the chamber volume to prime the drip chamber.
