摘要: Disclosed is a method for reducing latency between two clock domains in a digital electronic device. The time between a write to a queue position and a corresponding read of the queue position is reduced by up to one clock cycle by including a delay in the time before first writing data to a First In First Out (FIFO) queue used to buffer and synchronize data between two clock domains. The two clock domains have the same frequency, but may be out of phase. Reducing the latency between the write and the corresponding read reduces the required size of the FIFO queue and also results in more efficient system operation.

摘要: A high speed, two-way serial interface with a scrambler and de-scrambler may be tested by sending a single word repeatedly through the scrambler to create a pseudo-random sequence. The pseudo-random sequence is then passed through the transmitter and looped back through the receiver of the serial interface. The pseudo-random sequence is then descrambled and compared to the input word. Since the input sequence is only a single word rather than a series of words, the comparison is very simple and capable of being performed within the serial interface itself without the need for external test equipment.

摘要: A system includes a monitoring module, a congestion module, a modification module, and a communication module. The monitoring module monitors vehicles in a transportation network. The congestion module calculates a throughput parameter that is representative of a statistical measure of adherence to a movement plan by the vehicles. The modification module determines a confidence parameter representative of a probability that changing the original meet event does not reduce the throughput parameter. The modification module modifies the original meet event to an updated meet event when the confidence parameter exceeds a predetermined threshold. The communication module transmits the updated meet event to the yielding vehicle and/or the passing vehicle, for the yielding vehicle and/or the passing vehicle to receive the updated meet event from the communication module and change a speed of the yielding vehicle or the passing rail vehicle to arrive at the updated meet event.

摘要: An adjustable mechanism for sliding panels, such as sliding windows and doors is disclosed. One embodiment comprises adjustable buttons that extend from a housing positioned in the sliding panel. The adjustable threaded buttons of the present invention provide a surface having reduced friction that extends from the bottom edge of a window or door and that can slide along a track supporting the window or door. In addition to providing a mechanism to facilitate horizontal sliding of a window or door, the adjustable buttons may be used to set the height of the sliding window or door as it sits in its frame.
