摘要: A method and system for defining standard catch styles used in generating speech application code for managing catch events, in which a style-selection menu that allows for selection of one or more catch styles is presented. Each catch style represents a system response to a catch event. A catch style can be selected from the style-selection menu. For each selected catch style, the system can prepare a response for each catch event. If the selected catch style requires playing a new audio message in response to a particular catch event, a contextual message can be entered in one or more text fields. The contextual message entered in each text field corresponds to the new audio message that will be played in response to the particular catch event. In certain catch styles, the entered contextual message is different for each catch event, while in other catch styles, the entered contextual message is the same for each catch event. Finally, if the selected catch style does not require playing of a new audio message in response to a particular catch event, the system can replay the system prompt.

摘要: The present invention addresses problems associated with accessing and using automated systems for scheduled travel events and provides a method and system for communicating information to a user interacting with an automated system for accessing travel schedule data. In a first embodiment of the present invention, a user request can be processed for an event scheduled on an automated system. An occurrence time for the scheduled event can then be loaded. If the occurrence time is within a preconfigured time interval including midnight, a disambiguation process can be triggered for the scheduled event. The scheduled event can be an airline flight and the occurrence time can be an arrival or departure time. The disambiguation process can include prompting a user with a disambiguation message, wherein the disambiguation message makes reference to either an arrival date for the airline flight or a departure date for the airline flight.

摘要: A method for distributing content can include the step of a content broker receiving digitally conveyable content from a content producer. The content broker can provide the content to at least one content distributor. The content distributor can provide the content to at least one content customer. The content producer can report content usage information to the content broker. The content broker can establish media distribution data and can convey the media distribution data to the content distributor. The content distributor can use the media distribution data and distribution data that the content broker does not have access to when providing the content to the content customer.

摘要: A method and system relating to a restraining or protective order violation scenario where the movements of the restrainee and the movements of the protected person are monitored in order to detect if a predatory pattern is at hand. The movement, velocity, and positioning of the restrainee can be described as a set of patterns with respect to the protected person. The patterns can be determined based upon the distance between the two, and the direction and speed of both the restrainee and the protected person. Depending on the detected pattern, a notification system incorporating the present invention alerts the local law enforcement authorities with a warning or alarm, and/or sends a warning/alarm signal to the protected person if a predatory pattern is detected.

摘要: A method, system and computer program for automatically generating call flow statistics in a voice application. Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to call flow statistics generation systems and provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and computer program product for automatically generating a call flow statistics-generating application and presenting updated statistics on a call flow representation. Various statistics collection points are identified on the visual representation. Upon running of the voice application, call flow statistics are gathered and presented for each statistics collection point. Call identifiers corresponding to each call path can be selected and call paths corresponding to the selected call identifier may be highlighted and their call statistics displayed.

摘要: A conversation system allowing for complex, open-ended conversations with users and method of its operation are disclosed. An example method includes identifying a conversation and a user, encoding the user's input message and finding codes in other texts, generating responses, and selecting an appropriate response, and sending the selected response to the user. The conversation system utilizes various methods, scoring, codes, and the like to find the appropriate responses. Example methods also include steps for sending short sentences representing action, or sending a “thought” or “daydream” to the user that reveals the emotional state of the conversation system with respect to the user, and steps for changing that emotional state. The system avoids reliance on artificial neural networks and keeps track of the context of a conversation by saving conversation codes in a database.

摘要: A distributed computing system manages execution of jobs and their associated tasks. A broker manages assignment of computing tasks from clients to available computing resources. Clients and available computing resources contact the broker by polling. To prevent “ringing,” the broker specifies wait times for the polling entities, and randomizes the wait times in a range around a desired target latency. That is, a pseudo-random number generator is used to select values within a range of the target value, to avoid the situation in which deterministic patterns in the polling and response times result in highly synchronized message traffic, which might otherwise overwhelm the broker and/or the communication network.

摘要: A drywall patch is coated with a premeasured amount of joint compound in its wet state making it immediately available for application to a wall surface. The patch with compound is sealed in an airtight wrapper or between unsealed wrapper halves which are in turn sealed in a surrounding airtight package so that the joint compound stays moist and will not harden over time. The wrapper includes a peel-away adhesive dry patch. In use, the dry patch is first applied over a crack or hole to be repaired. The wrapper and compound are applied directly over the dry patch and, while the wrapper remains in place, pressure is applied to smooth the compound over the patch and removed after the compound has dried. The wrapper is preferably composed of microporous breathable plastic film.
