Abstract: According to an aspect of this disclosure, a lighting system comprises at least first and second luminaires wherein each luminaire comprises a housing, an optical waveguide suspended from the associated housing, and one or more LEDs disposed adjacent the optical waveguide. Further in accordance with this aspect, the system comprises circuitry disposed within the housing of the first luminaire wherein the circuitry comprises LED driving circuitry and power circuitry, the power circuitry provides power to the first luminaire and at least a second luminaire, and the second luminaire is modular.

Abstract: A light fixture comprising a chamber portion is disclosed. In some embodiments, the fixture comprises a chamber portion shaped to house circuitry required for lighting elements such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted elsewhere in the fixture. In some embodiments, LEDs are mounted facing a back reflector, which in turn reflects light out of a troffer to form an indirect lighting fixture. In some embodiments, light is emitted from one mixing chamber. In some embodiments, light is emitted from two or more mixing chambers. In some embodiments, LEDs are mounted on a heat sink which cooperates with a chamber portion.

Abstract: A direct troffer-style fixture for solid state light sources for use in these fixtures. Embodiments of the present invention provide a direct troffer-style fixture that is particularly well-suited for retrofit structures. The fixture comprises a retrofit troffer assembly that is removably attached within a T grid or pan structure. The retrofit fixture can be installed in two pieces: a first including a lens structure, a back reflector and 2 end reflectors; and the second component including a second portion of the back reflector. An interior space created by the lens structure houses light emitters and in some embodiments, a light engine and/or additional electronics. One or both of the end reflectors may be movable, slidable and/or rotatable, to accommodate installation. The back reflector covers most of the interior surfaces of the troffer fixture to direct more light out of the fixture.
