    Abstract: A dual flow filter element includes inner and outer closed loop filter media and inlet and outlet end caps, and having a given shape-in-shape configuration. A support frame extends axially from one of the end caps toward the other end cap and terminates at a termination position between one-fourth and three-fourths of the axial distance between the inlet and outlet ends. Combinations using pleated filter media include a first group of pleat tip ends which are exposed, and a second group of pleat tip ends which are fully potted. One embodiment includes axially offset inner and outer closed loop filter media.

    Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a filter element. The filter element includes a first endplate that defines a first endplate opening and a second endplate. Filter media is positioned between and extending axially between the first endplate and the second endplate. The filter media defines a central opening extending axially therein. A support structure is disposed within the central opening of the filter media and is attached to the first endplate and the second endplate. The support structure includes an axial lobed extension that extends from a first end of the support structure to a second end of the support structure. The support structure is configured to resist collapse of the filter element.

The filter element comprises filter media and a second alignment portion disposed on the first filter end. The second alignment portion is complementary to the first alignment portion. The installation of the filter element within the housing causes the first alignment surface and the second alignment surface to align to provide for engagement of a radial seal between the filter element and the housing.

    Abstract: A filter assembly may include a housing and a cover movably connected to the housing and movable between an open position and a closed position. The filter assembly may also include at least one projection extending from the cover towards an interior of the housing and a filter element that fits at least partially within the housing. When the cover is moved from the open position to the closed position, at least one projection interfaces with the filter element and causes the filter element to pivot within the housing, such that the at least one projection seals the filter element and the housing together when the cover is in the closed position.
