摘要: An air filtration system comprises a filter housing that defines a collection chamber and includes an air inlet, an air outlet and a cleaning assembly opening in fluid communication with the collection chamber. The system also comprises a filter support mounted to the filter housing with each one of the air inlet and the air outlet being located on a respective side of the filter support; and a filter cleaning assembly mounted to the filter housing and including an actuation system; and a diaphragm assembly at least partially covering the filter cleaning opening. The diaphragm assembly vibrates upon actuation of the actuation system so as to displace air in the collection chamber to remove particulate matter from a filter engaged with the filter support. The present disclosure also concerns a combustion engine comprising an air filtration system and a method for cleaning an air filtration system.

摘要: A filtration system includes an air cleaner housing and a filter element. The air cleaner housing includes a base and a removable cover. At least one of the base or the cover defines a cavity and a protrusion extending into the cavity. The filter element is disposed within the cavity. The filter element includes a plurality of media blocks each including a pleated filter media. The plurality of media blocks are arranged in arch shapes of approximately equal inner radii. The plurality of media blocks are coupled to each other along opposing edges that extend along a pleat direction of the pleated filter media. The media blocks together define at least one void that extends along the protrusion. The protrusion occupies a portion of the void.

摘要: An air cleaner assembly including a housing, a filter cartridge removably positioned within the inner opening of the housing, wherein the filter cartridge includes a media pack and a sealing member that includes a pinch seal portion spaced from an outer surface of the media pack and positionable within a housing channel of the housing when the filter cartridge is positioned within the inner opening of the housing, and a precleaner assembly positionable between the filter cartridge and the inlet end of the housing, wherein the precleaner includes a base member having a lower edge, and an access cover removably attachable to an inlet end of the housing, wherein the precleaner assembly is sealable within the air cleaner assembly by pressing the lower edge of the base member against a top surface of the sealing member.

摘要: A filter device is provided with a filter housing and a filter element arranged in the filter housing. The filter element is provided with an annular filter medium body that has an inflow side. The filter housing has a dirt collecting region in flow communication with the inflow side of the annular filter medium body. The dirt collecting region has an annular circumferentially extending configuration. A flow-tight separation element is arranged at or adjacent to the annular filter medium body. The dirt collecting region adjoins the flow-tight separation element. An inflow region is positioned at the inflow side of the annular filter medium body and immediately adjoins the dirt collecting region. The dirt collecting region has a radial extension relative to a longitudinal axis of the annular filter medium body, and the radial extension of the dirt collecting region is larger than a radial extension of the inflow region.

摘要: An air filter retention interface for use with an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The interface is substantially secured in an opening of a wall and the interface attaches to an air filter at the front end of the interface and an air intake tube on the back end of the interface. The interface has a filter sleeve and a filter base. During operation of the engine the filter sleeve is disposed through the opening in the wall such that the wall is between beads disposed on the external surface of the filter sleeve and the filter base thereby substantially securing the interface in place and the front end of the filter base is attached to the filter and the back end of the filter base is attached to the air intake tube and air passes through the filter then through the filter base and filter sleeve and then into the air intake tube and toward the engine.

摘要: A hydrocarbon absorbing air filter box is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprising the hydrocarbon absorbing air filter box includes a duct supporting a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet within an interior of a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.

The seal member is attached to and extends from the frame. The seal member includes a U-shaped channel structured to receive a ridge of a housing when the filter element is installed in the housing. The seal member is structured to form a seal between the filter element and the housing when the filter element is installed in the housing.

摘要: An evaporative emissions control system for an internal combustion engine having an air intake manifold is provided. The system includes a carbon canister configured to receive fuel vapor, a purge valve fluidly coupled to the carbon canister, an air induction system configured to fluidly couple to the air intake manifold, a conduit fluidly coupled between the purge valve and the air induction system, and an inlet valve disposed in the air induction system. The inlet valve is configured to selectively move between an open position and a closed position to vary an air restriction in the air induction system and generate a vacuum. The vacuum draws fuel vapor from the carbon canister through the conduit into the air induction system.
