Abstract: A pedal device includes: a pedal configured to rotate about a rotational axis; and a reaction force generator configured to generate a reaction force corresponding to an urging force generated by pressing operation of the pedal. The pedal includes an urging portion configured to transmit the urging force to the reaction force generator when the urging portion is rotated integrally with the pedal. The reaction force generator includes a linearly moving portion configured to move linearly in an extending direction of a central axis of the reaction force generator when the pressing operation is performed. The urging portion has an urging surface configured to urge a contact surface of the linearly moving portion. The urging portion is placed at a position where a virtual urging center passes through a virtual axis perpendicular line when the pedal is rotated within a predetermined rotational range.

Abstract: A brake pedal is operated by a pedal force of a driver. A sensor is capable of detecting a stroke amount of the brake pedal. A brake circuit generates braking force to apply a brake to a vehicle by applying hydraulic pressure to wheel cylinders provided to respective wheels. An electronic control device controls the braking force generated by the brake circuit based on an output signal from the sensor and a state of the vehicle. The electronic control device executes predetermined braking force control under which the braking force generated by the brake circuit is set to be predetermined braking force, when the stroke amount of the brake pedal is between a first threshold and a second threshold larger than the first threshold.

Abstract: A brake device for a brake-by-wire system includes a brake pedal, a sensor, a reaction force generator, and a reaction force changing mechanism. The brake pedal is rotatably mounted on a housing and not mechanically connected to a hydraulic pressure generator. The sensor outputs a signal corresponding to a stroke amount of the brake pedal to an electronic control unit. The reaction force generator has one end connected to the brake pedal and the other end connected to the housing so as to generate a reaction force against a depression force applied to the brake pedal by a driver. The reaction force changing mechanism generates a reaction force against a depression force applied to the brake pedal by the driver, and is able to change a magnitude of the reaction force in advance according to the driver.

Abstract: A pedal device includes a pedal and a reaction force generation mechanism. The reaction force generation mechanism includes a resilient device and a first holder. The first holder contacts the resilient device from one side, which is a side where the pedal is placed. The first holder has a primary disengagement stopper. The reaction force generation mechanism includes a second holder that contacts the resilient device from another side, which is opposite to the one side. The second holder has a secondary disengagement stopper. In a non-depressed state of the pedal, the pedal limits movement of the first holder toward the one side. When the pedal no longer limits and thus releases the movement of the first holder, the secondary disengagement stopper limits the movement of the first holder relative to the second holder beyond a predetermined limit toward the one side.

Further, the connecting rod is connected to the back surface of the pedal, to rotate with the pedal about the axis of the shaft when the operator steps on the pedal, while an angle defined between the back surface of the pedal and an axis of the connecting rod is maintained.

Abstract: A pedal pad in an organ-type pedal device swings about a predetermined axis when stepped on by a driver's foot. A sensor unit outputs a signal corresponding to a swing angle of the pedal pad. A first housing covers the reaction force generation mechanism, and an opening at least on one side. A second housing is provided on one side of the first housing in a swing direction of the pedal pad. Further, the first housing has a largest opening on a second housing side, which is closed by the second housing and into which the elastic member of the reaction force generation mechanism in a non-bending state is insertable.
