摘要: A charging system for a legged mobile robot that facilitates positioning of a robot to be charged and does not put a load on the robot is provided. The charging system includes a battery 2, a power receiving connector 4 and a movable shutter member 5 capable of being opened and closed on a rear cover 3, which are provided on a robot 1, and a holder 21, a power supplying connector 22, a slide mechanism 23, a base plate 25, a charging power supply 26 and the like, which are provided on a charging station 20. The robot 1 performs a predetermined positioning on the base plate 25 and then moves the center of gravity rearward to connect the power receiving connector 4 to the power supplying connector 22. In this step, when the rear cover 3 of the robot 1 is guided by a first guide section 21a of the holder 21, the slide mechanism 23 allows the holder 21 to move horizontally. Thus, even if the robot 1 and the charging station 20 are slightly misaligned with each other, the robot 1 can be easily positioned correctly.

摘要: A discharging nozzle is provided in an inside space of a metal cylinder for supplying an assist gas from an inside of the metal cylinder. The gas discharging nozzle shuts a high density energy beam intruding into the inside space of the metal cylinder through a hole, so that the energy beam is prevented from being emitted to an opposite side inner surface of the metal cylinder. Dross formed during the cut-machining is drifted and swept to the outside by an assist gas flowing out from the inside space of the metal cylinder through the hole, and is blown out by the assist gas flowing on an outside surface of the metal cylinder around the hole, thereby preventing the dross from sticking to peripheral area of the hole.

摘要: In a non-agitated, countercurrent flow type liquid-liquid contacting tower, trays consisting of column plates and dams are installed horizontally inside the tower shell alternately in vertical direction with a suitable interval. The column plate share a part of the cross-section of the tower to provide a flow channel or channels for the liquids, and the dam extends from the end of the column plate vertically downward and has openings near the column plate. The liquid-liquid contactor has high contacting efficiency, and thus relatively small sized apparatus can have a large treatment capacity. Because the apparatus has no moving element, maintenance is easy.

摘要: In a floating-point multiplier device for two numbers, each represented by an exponent and a mantissa which includes a binary one integer bit, first and second round-up CPA's (carry propagate adders) (41, 42) are supplied with selected bits of mantissa carries and sums to be operable when a mantissa product is not less than one and is less than two and when the product is not less than two, respectively. As a combination of an ultimate exponent and a rounded-off mantissa of a product of the two numbers, a selector (49) selects one of a first combination of an exponent sum and the mantissa product subjected to round down and to no bit shift, a second combination of the exponent sum and the mantissa product subjected to round down and to a one-bit rightward shift, a third combination of a sum exponent and a first rounded mantissa produced by the first round-up CPA, and a fourth combination of the sum exponent plus one and a second rounded mantissa produced by the second round-up CPA.

摘要: A micro processor capable of being connected with a coprocessor is disclosed. The microprocessor includes an execution unit and a bus control unit coupled to the execution unit. When the execution unit receives an instruction to be executed by the coprocessor, the bus control unit supplies to the coprocessor a command code responsive to the instruction. The micro processor further includes a terminal connected to the execution unit and supplied with a busy signal representing whether the coprocessor is in an arithmetic operating state. The execution unit controls the bus control unit to read status information of the coprocessor after the busy signal disappears. The presence or absence of the coprocessor is thus detected from the content of the read status information.

摘要: A register saving/restoring system for use in a data processing system is constructed of a CPU and at least one slave processors. The registers of the slave processors are not saved nor restored when the CPU switches tasks, however the descriptor of the task carried out in one slave processor most recently and the descriptor of a task being executed by the CPU are compared so that the slave processor registers are saved and restored. This process is done only if the descriptors are different, in order to avoid the waste register saving/restoring processing.

摘要: A non-woven fabric suitable for clothing manufacture, comprising a fiber web substantially formed of a continuous filament of a synthetic fiber, wherein a plurality of weakened portions in a form of a scratch or a crack are distributed on the filament constituting at least one surface of the fiber web. Some of the weakened portions are broken to form free ends, some of which are projected from the fabrice surface to form a short fluff, and some of the remaining ends are embedded in the interior of the fiber web and entangled with the filament. The weakened portions of the filament are provided by nipping the fiber web between a pair of rollers, at least one of which has a rough surface formed of a plurality of prominences of hard particles. A punching treatment of the fiber web after the weakened portions has been imparted is effective for breaking the filament to form short fluffs on the fabric surface and for entangling the filaments with each other. A resin treatment before the punching treatment is also favorable.
