摘要: A vehicle and a method for controlling a vehicle including a current collector transmitting electric power from a current conductor located in a predetermined position in the surface of a road a distance from one side of the road; a first detecting means generating a signal indicative of the position of the current collector relative to a current conductor reference point; where the current collector is displaceable to track the current conductor in response to the signal; and a second detecting means detecting the position of the current collector are provided. The method involves determining a first distance representing the position of the current collector relative to the current conductor reference point; determining a second distance representing the position of the current collector relative to a vehicle reference point; and determining a distance between the vehicle reference point and the current conductor reference point using the first and second distances to determine a current vehicle position on the road.

摘要: Disclosed are control algorithms and system architectures for managing wireless vehicle charging, including vehicles with rechargeable battery packs, wireless charging capabilities, and control logic for governing such charging. A method is disclosed for managing charging of an electrical storage unit of a motor vehicle at a wireless vehicle charging station. The method includes: receiving a sensor signal indicating detection of an obstruction within a predetermined proximity of the vehicle charging station; determining whether the detected obstruction is living or lifeless; initiating, via a vehicle controller responsive to the detected obstruction being a living object, a first remedial action strategy that commands the vehicle to generate a visual or audible cue to drive away the living object; and, initiating, via the vehicle controller responsive to the detected obstruction being a lifeless object, a second remedial action strategy that commands the motor vehicle to move and thereby avoid contact with the object.

摘要: A method is provided in which a pair of transmitters having omnidirectional and directional transmission characteristics is provided when an associative connection is established between an electric vehicle and a charging station. Once the associative connection has been established in such a way that a directional radio link is formed, the associative connection is tested using an omnidirectional transmitter. The results of the testing may be used to prevent an unwanted associative connection to a compromising transmitter.

摘要: A charging controller (25) acquires the power loss of a power transmission coil (31) from a power supply device (100) via wireless communication. A temperature estimation unit (33) estimates the ambient temperature of a power reception coil on the basis of a preset amount of heat generation of a power reception device (200) and the power loss of the power transmission coil (31). In this case, when the positional relationship between the power transmission coil (31) and the power reception coil (41) is shifted from a normal positional relationship, the temperature estimation unit (33) increases, in accordance with the magnitude of positional shift amount, the contribution to a temperature rise due to the power loss of the power transmission coil (31). Accordingly, an abnormal increase in the ambient temperature of the power reception coil (41) can be prevented.

The receiver circuit further comprises a ferrite material having a first side coupled to the receiver coil. The apparatus further comprises a first heat exchanger coupled to a second side of the ferrite material.

摘要: A vehicle includes an electric power reception unit, a motive power generation apparatus generating on an output shaft a drive force for moving the vehicle, and a vehicle ECU controlling the motive power generation apparatus. The motive power generation apparatus includes a parking gear provided on the output shaft, a parking pole having a protrusion to be fit in a groove of the parking gear, and a drive unit outputting the drive force. The vehicle ECU controls the drive unit so that in a case where the electric power reception unit is located within an area in which electric power can be received from the electric power transmission apparatus and where the motive power generation apparatus has been set to a parking range, the vehicle is moved in a direction that causes the electric power reception unit to approach the electric power transmission apparatus.

The processor can cause the position of the charge transmitter to be adjusted within the housing based on a relative location of a charge receiver such that the charge transmitter and charge receiver are in substantial charging alignment.
