    摘要: A high-frequency amplifier includes first and second amplifying stages disposed in parallel for amplifying VHF/UHF television signals. The first amplifying stage includes a first FET and a second FET of a grounded-gate type connected in series between a common input terminal and a first output terminal to which a VHF-signal selection circuit is connected, and the second amplifying stage includes a third FET and a fourth FET of a grounded-gate type connected in series between the common input terminal and a second output terminal to which a UHF-signal selection circuit is connected. Switching between amplifying operations of the first and second amplifying stages is performed by an operation switching unit selectively setting one of the first and third FETs in a forward-bias state and the other in a reverse-bias state in response to a switching voltage externally set.

    摘要: A serial type printing apparatus includes: a reception buffer that stores printing data of respective arrays of printing elements subjected to adjustment by a first unit concerning a relative position in a scanning direction among the respective arrays of printing elements and setting data including registration information by a second unit smaller than the first unit concerning the relative position in the scanning direction, the data being transmitted from a host apparatus connected to the printing apparatus; and a print buffer that stores printing data of the respective arrays of printing elements in association with printing positions in the scanning direction. The printing apparatus performs control to adjust storing locations of the printing data of the respective arrays of printing elements by the second unit on the basis of the registration information and store the printing data in the print buffer. Consequently, it is possible to reduce a buffer size of the printing apparatus and improve an actual printing speed from instruction of printing until the printing is actually started.

    摘要: An object of this invention is to provide an ink jet printing apparatus that can detect a state causing a printing operation failure without adding a sensor and also enhance the ease of handling on the part of the user while keeping an apparatus cost from rising. For this purpose, in a serial type ink jet printing apparatus, a travel range in which the print head can be moved is detected and it is decided whether the detected travel range is a proper travel range. When, for example, the travel range is determined to be less than a preset range, it is decided that there is an obstacle in a path of the print head and a decision result is displayed. When the travel range is determined to be a certain range, it is decided that the ink tank is not properly mounted on the print head and the corresponding indication is made.

A gate voltage of the FET and a base voltage of the transistor are adjusted by a supplied AGC voltage. When an input RF signal has small amplitude, the gate voltage is increased by a high AGC voltage so as to increase a main current of the FET, thereby increasing a signal gain of the FET. When the input RF signal has large or medium amplitude, the gate voltage is decreased by a low AGC voltage so as to decrease a main current of the FET, thereby decreasing the signal gain of the FET.

As a result, a space factor for the arrangement of the electronic component with the cover is very good, and thus it is possible to reduce a widthwise dimension of the circuit board.
