摘要： A circuit assembly (20) provided with: a circuit board (21); a capacitor (30) connected to the circuit board (21); and a circuit casing (20C) configured to house the circuit board (21) and the capacitor (30). The capacitor (30) is provided with: a component body (31) including a pair of connection terminals (32A and 33A) to be fixed to the circuit board (21); and a first fixing unit (41) and a second fixing unit (42) configured to fix the component body (31) to the circuit casing (20C) at both sides. The connection terminals (32A and 33A) are disposed with a fixed line (L1) connecting the first fixing unit (41) and the second fixing unit (42) interposed therebetween, and both of the pair of connection terminals (32A and 33A) protrudes sideward from the component body (31) between a first surface of the circuit board (21) and the circuit casing (20C), and extends toward the circuit board (21). Distal ends (P2) of each of the connection terminals (32A and 33A) are fixed to the circuit board (21) in a vicinity of the first fixing unit (41).

摘要： The glass waveguide assembly includes a substrate with glass optical waveguides formed in the body of the glass substrate without adding or removing any glass from the substrate body. The glass optical waveguides run generally from a front-end section to a back-end section. A protective coating is formed over at least a portion of the top surface of the glass substrate where the glass optical waveguides reside. Optical connectors are formed at or adjacent the back end at corresponding connector regions. Each connector includes an end portion of at least one of the glass optical waveguides. In some configurations, the glass waveguide assembly includes a bend section that facilitates forming an optical interconnection in a photonic system between an optical-electrical printed circuit board and photonic integrated circuit.

摘要： A lightweight radio/CD player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a case and frontal interface formed of polymer based material that is molded to provide details to accept audio devices such as playback mechanisms (if desired) and radio receivers, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case and frontal interface are of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen that has been pre-formed to contour with the molding operation. The wire mesh provides EMC, RFI, BCI and ESD shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. The major components and subassemblies self-interconnect by integral guide and connection features effecting “slide lock” and “snap lock” self-interconnection. The major components and subassemblies self-ground by establishing an interference fit with exposed, resilient, embossed portions of wire mesh.

摘要： An electrical connector adapted to receive a mating plug utilizes low-profile jack terminal contacts that can flex in their PCB-anchored base portions, which are substantially parallel to the PCB. Any bend in the distal connecting portion or in the intermediate transition portion of each terminal contact is gradual and forms an obtuse angle, thus minimizing stress concentrations. The contacts preferably are arranged in two oppositely facing and interdigitating rows of four contacts each. In one embodiment, the terminal contacts are anchored to the PCB by a contact cradle that constrains the base portion of each terminal contact at two spaced anchoring locations, allowing the base portion to flex therebetween. In another embodiment, the base portions of the terminal contacts are embedded in at least one elastomeric member, which is fitted to the PCB.
