    摘要: A connecting means for ignition systems in internal combustion engines is designed such that the connecting means is functionally reliable even under unfavorable operating conditions. The connecting means has, among other things, a first connection for an ignition coil, a second connection for a spark plug, and a covering cap encasing these connections. The covering cap is made of two layers, having an inner casing made of electrically insulating material and an outer casing lying directly on the inner casing, the outer casing being made of an electrically conductive material, which is electrically connected to ground potential. The casings are each made up of a resilient material. The connecting means is for use in the automotive industry.

    摘要: An ignition device for gas discharge lamps is proposed, in particular for motor vehicle lights. The ignition device contains a first transformer (17) which is supplied on its primary side with an alternating current produced from a direct current supply voltage. To generate this alternating current, a capacitor (14), which is acted upon by a charging current, constitutes a closed circuit together with the primary winding of the first transformer and a spark gap (16), wherein the spark gap (16) arcs at a predetermined charge state of the capacitor (14). This device makes a simple, inexpensive, and space-saving device possible for generating the required operating voltage for the transformer (17), wherein the spark gap can be reliably used, even at higher temperatures.

The coil former is provided with a winding set, the winding wire of which is continued to the insulation carrier. The ignition coil, which for this purpose is provided with a bore, may be slipped onto the bolt and a fastener provided with a resiliently expansible locking member may thereafter be slipped onto the bolt.

In accordance with the invention, permanent-magnet biasing magnets (18, 20) are located in air gaps in the shunt magnetic paths (17, 19), and so polarized that the flux generated upon current flow through the respective branches of the primary windings is counter the bias magnetization of the respective magnet (18, 20) in the respective shunt path (17, 19) on which the secondary winding (10, 13) is wound which is associated with the respectively energized primary winding (e.g. primary 6-secondary 10; upon energization of primary winding 6, the flux will oppose the flux on magnet 18).

A spring is used to provide for operating force, or the membrane may be pre-stressed; the interior of the housing may be evacuated or may contain a protective, inert gas.
